Things went south for my car.

Hello guys, so my M3 was about to be loaded onto a truck heading to the buyer and battery went dead. I tried to trickle charge it, but alarm constantly went off a few times while charging it, so I had to plug off the charger. What should I do here?

I probably get it towed to change the battery then. I couldn't charge the battery from either jump starter or trickle charger, so I gave up.

good advise. I ran into this on my X3 a couple years back. Was getting typical low battery issues, tried charging and battery basically discharged instead. As a last ditch effort I pulled the battery and charger it directly and after a few hours it was fine.

Well, the battery was completely dead per a shop that worked on it, so I put the new battery in it before I send off the car to the buyer. Thanks for the help guys.

Not sure it matters but new battery is supposed to be coded "registered" to the car. New owner may want to get it done if going by the book.

Just be transparent with the buyer and let him or her decide.

The shop who worked on my car specialize in German car, so yes, they registered the battery with the car. No draws were detected, so the car is good to go to be picked up on this Saturday!

On a side note, I am thinking about getting e46 M3 before I step up to P car. Always wanted e46 m3 since I was the teenager haha. I will still keep my STI though. Spent too much money on it to dump it atm.
