Dealer would never change pads or rotors saying Porsche said squeal was normal. I never had brake dust on wheels but the high pitch squeal was beyond embarrassing. I have 5,000 miles on my XB7 now and I hope I don’t have to deal with issue again. I did buy the ultimate care + for 5 years/75,000 miles.
‘22 XB7 here. Plenty of squealing on cold Chicago days. It seems to help to do a hard stop from a decent speed. Makes the squealing subside for a bit. Definitely going to get aftermarket pads once my Ultimate Care+ runs out.

24 XB7 here and mine has done it on a few really cold days but it usually stops after a few minutes.

We’ve had a pretty consistent few weeks of above average temps even up to 83 this past weekend. Despite the warm temps the brakes on my 21 M50i squeak loudly. Hard stopping doesn’t make it go away, at least not for long. I just crossed 34k and want to get this looked at by the dealer. I can’t imagine driving through the spring and summer with this annoyance 🫠

Just watched this video from BMW M with some good tips about how to break in your new brakes:

Right around the same mileage last November, our 21 X7's (M-sport) front brakes started to squeal intermittently for about 500 miles before the wear sensor was triggered. Luckily I had already purchased all the pads/rotors/sensors to change all four corners. Since then brakes stop great and have been silent like before!
