I haven't built all too much loyalty with a specific dealer obviously, but when I have a good experience at one for one car, I always look at them first for my next car. When they don't have the exact car I want on the lot, it's a totally different experience even with the same CA. I have only used the same dealer multiple times once, and it wasn't back-to-back. It's really just because one of their owners happens to have the same taste in cars that I have, so there were two occasions where they had something I liked sitting around for a while and he put a few miles on them himself making the deal even sweeter.

I would say it's definitely more about the dealer's motivation to sell a specific car than to push as many cars as possible. The only exceptions might be end of month when they're trying to hit the next bonus tier but aren't quite there yet (e.g. if a volume dealer hits 200 cars a month, they might make another $500 for each of those cars that month from BMW, so if they are at 175 with 3 days to go, they might be happy to lose a couple grand on a few cars to get that $100k+ bonus).

For the best deal, either go with a broker that will do the leg work for you, or spend countless hours on Autotrader, Cars.com, and dealer websites tracking what's out there and trying to get an idea of how long the cars have been sitting. The best deals will be on cars that have been sitting on their lots for a while, or maybe ones that have 1000 miles or so if you dare to get an executive demo they could still push as new.

If you're looking for a new build, dealer recommendations or hitting them at the right time might become more important. I've become very close with owners, GMs, and a couple of CAs at 2 dealers local to me over the years. They all get the game and don't blame me for doing what I do. I'll casually throw some numbers at them on a new build just before I'm ready to make a deal on something I've found, and they're usually receptive, then I go harder at the car I found and end up moving that way.
Thanks - so is it a pipe-dream to get a new build and get 8% +/- off MSRP from a dealer in our area? Or maybe it's possible, but it'll take a lot of hunting for the at right dealership who wants to make that specific deal?

You can check out the official incentives offers anytime on BMW's website.

https://www.bmwusa.com/special-offers.html

Just put in your zip. For 2021's, looks like they're currently at $2500 off (AFTER any discount you strike with your dealer). Details still mention loyalty/conquest, but looks like that may have been removed, and only $2500 now for using BMWFS.

Another incentive if military, or PenFed member.

And don't forget about BMWCCA, another free $1,000.

I heard BMWCCA is no longer valid for us member less than a specific time (3 years?), can someone confirm?

When I bought last month, it was
$2500 BMWFS credit
$1000 conquest/loyalty credit
$500 PenFed or military credit
$1000 BMWCCA rebate

yes, for the BMWCCA you had to either be a member for at least a year, or buy a 3+ year membership. It's a no-brainer. Just renewed.

Prior to January 1, 2020, you could immediately qualify to apply for the BMWNA vehicle rebate immediately with a purchase of a 3 year more longer BMWCCA membership. BMWCCA did grandfather members who purchased a 3 year membership before January 1.

In January 1, 2020, BMWCCA updated the rebate program eligibility per BMWNA's request to a BMWCCA member is eligible to apply for BMWNA vehicle rebate after 6 months of full membership with a purchase of a 3 year or longer CCA membership:

https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1679612

Current program info:
If you purchase a 3 year ($159), 5 year ($270) or lifetime ($1750) BMWCCA membership, you're eligible to apply* for a BMWNA vehicle rebate after six months of CCA membership:

https://www.bmwcca.org

As a 23 year and counting BMWCCA lifetime member - I think my renewal is sometime in 2030 LOL, I highly recommend joining and many of the regional chapters quite active.

I am not a BMWCCA member at this time nor have I been one in the past. I will be taking delivery of my X7 by the end of April. If I get the membership today, is there anyway I can still get the $1000 BMWCCA rebate on this particular X7?

thanks everyone. Order put in today. 10% off using a dealer in Atlanta, plus
$3250 military/USAA plus another $1000 "test drive" rebate. Another $1000 via BMWCCA to come. Insane price for a custom build. White metallic 40i with Merino Tartufo, DHP, Premium, plus others. Thanks to everyone!! My wife is beyond happy. She is one of those "I don't deserve that" kind of people...but she really does.

Unfortunately no, you have had to signed up for at least a 3 year BMWCCA membership and been a member for 6 months to qualify for applying for the BMWNA-CCA $1K X7 rebate.

I just had a dealership buy out my 2020 x7 M50i 36 month lease 100% at 14 months. Put me in a 2021 with $10k more in options than my 2020 and I'm paying $133 less per month....

7.5k option on 36 month X7 lease?

I've been shopping for a 36 month 7.5k lease for an X7 (it's mainly a weekend car) - one specific dealership responded that the 7.5k was not offered, only down to 10k. I've had multiple other dealerships quote me at 7.5k though. I'd let it go, but the BD Manager at this other place seems intent on proving herself right - claims that 10k min is "BMW FS standard" even though I told her I have quotes at 7.5k. Anyone else come across this?? More curious than anything else.

The MF in my quote went from .00086 to .00093 as of today. I'm still unclear if MF and residual are negotiable. They seem to be standard across dealerships, with discount to MSRP really being the only lever in negotiations, is that right?
