I’m running slybrackets.com and it’s solid! Recommended by many ppl here.

Just took delivery on a Black Sapphire X7 4.0 and, as always, told the dealer not to trill holes for the front plate bracket.

Now that I'm looking at the car, I'm not even sure how the place would fit in the front. Between the PDC sensors, the grill, and the adaptive cruise control sensors/tech there's not where to put a US sized license plate. Notice how all the market photos show it with a European style front plate.

Anyway, just wondering what y'all are thinking of doing. Photos would be helpful. I'm debating between letting them drill, using 3M double sided tape (there is an Xpel crest bra over the entire front end of the car so I would risk damage to the paint with this option), or using another tow hook mounted bracket.

Thoughts???

I am in PA now and thankfully don't have to worry about front plate, but coming from NJ where I grew up it was always a "topic" for people with nice cars. Came to find out that it was required to be inside the vehicle and easily enough shown/displayed or presented to an officer. For example you'd see Vettes with the plates on their dashboard but all that gets annoying so it ends up under the seat. If you are willing to have the conversation with the officer and possibly educate him a little bit (never ever EVER went poorly with a NJ State Cop I assure you....) I think most will be just fine, receiving a warning ticket at best. In my experience before I moved into PA, it never resulted in a ticket and I have been questioned 4 times, 3 of which was my car and once in a friends car for front plate.

It falls into how willing you are to exercise logic and common sense, and ideally being able to express that to someone questioning you about it.

Which size Skene bracket are you using? Extra Short?

In Colorado here and left it off. Was thinking about a tow hook bracket or the one that mounts to the grille below, but in the end the word here is you typically won’t get pulled over for it. If pulled over for speeding they may cite you for it or just give you a warning. I have heard in Denver that if you have to park at a meter the parking ticket rovers will cite you for it though.

I really think it’s a stupid rule and a waste of money to print a second plate. Colorado has tried a few times to get rid of it, but it never passes.

Yes, knock on wood, but I've never been bothered in Denver, but I don't park on the street where there are meters. They'll get you for sure.

When it comes to driving/drivers in Florida, there is not much to cheer about - however, at least we don't need a front license plate.

I still got mine though. It was in a plastic bag when I took delivery.
