Sprint Booster...?
Has anyone been using Sprint Booster in their cars? I heard it boosts the acceleration, with simple plug-in set up...
Any thoughts? Check the link below for more accurate description. http://www.sprintboosterusa.com/t-faq.aspx |

I think you'll find that most folks on this board prefer to use the Burger Motorsports Powerbox or simply called a "PBX". It gives us a modest power increase as well as the benefits provided by the Sprint Booster.

I do not have either one of these items, but seeing as the perform the same function, albeit it in different locations, I cannot see there being a cumulative gain. The sprint booster (if I recall) is installed somewhere near the gas pedal and intercepts the signal going to the ECU; whilst the PBX is installed at the ECU and performs a similar function.
Since you have the PBX and there is a no-risk 30 day trial for the Sprint Booster you could give it a shot and see what you think. Worst case is you're out $300 for a month-ish and have to send it back. Best case - it's super awesome, your car now runs in the high 11's and beautiful women throw themselves at you as you drive down the street. YMMV

they both do a throttle remap, though the pbx also changes the fuel map. The sprint booster is probably a bit easier to install and more "invisible" because there is nothing inside the computer compartment.
I don't think the sprint booster is adjustable though, where the pbx lets you choose from 3 different throttle map settings. And just know that a throttle remap won't actually make your car faster, but it will make it a lot more responsive in day to day driving, which makes it *feel* faster. And most people here will agree that it's the throttle mapping on the pbx that makes the car feel so much better. |

anybody tried both? wonder if you would get double throttle remapping.... and if this thing is installed, would it screw up the switching of the maps for the pbx?

i doubt the 2 will perform well together. Not much of an electronics expert but I am pretty sure one will just override the other. Seeing as PBX gives you some hp/tq gains I would go with that one. Btw I already have the PBX and its great.
