I'll give you mine. 2021 40i m sport 30k miles, 93k sticker. First offer was $55k. I didn't even counter. I told them, I'll keep it. If he would have came back with a respectable honest offer, I would have likely ordered a new one. I like mine a lot, so I think I'll keep it a while.

My local credit union is 2.75% for 60 months. 1.99% for 36.
Hmm…. They'll probably put it on the lot for $75,000. That seems pretty low.

Exactly. Or likely flip to an auction or another dealer for a quick profit.

Purchasing a 23 X7 xDrive40i in Skyscraper Grey - MRSP at $91,095

Trading a 2019 Volvo XC90 T6 Inscription fully loaded with only 12k miles and zero issues. MSRP new was over $76k. BMW's "best offer" was $39k for the trade when the Volvo dealership down the street offered $48k the same day. Certainly did not expect to make any money on the trade, but expected BMW to present something reasonable...

This is my first time buying from this dealership directly and it's been quite disappointing.

For what it's worth, my 2020 X7 40i MSRP 90K was stolen, just got a revised offer from insurance of $68.5K (original offer of $63K) for ACV - pre tax. Not a dealer offer per say but insurance usually targets what you'd get in a trade-in.

The catalytic converter alone is worth that much (lol).

Dealership also gave me an insultingly low offer for my trade, so not having the best of luck with BMW directly on any part of this deal.

I'm only getting 60K for my 2019 50i — 113K sticker. I have 53,000 miles. Unreal. But another dealer only offered 53K.

used car prices are starting to crash. likely that dealers are pricing accordingly.

Wow.... I think you should be able to negotiate an easy 65K on it. 60K isn't too low, but close to what you should get for that MSRP and mileage for the 50i. Your MSRP indicates good spec, though a loaded one is 119K.
Most 2019 50is that are loaded (i.e.: MSRP of 115-119K) are offered at a solid $75K around the country for a clean well-maintained ones. If they vehicle has a nice individual interior, and well spec'd (drive assist pro), I think getting $65K for it should be an easy task because the dealer certainly can sell it for $75k. The only issue is the the 53K miles you have, while most vehicles priced at 75K are 45K miles or less and are still under warranty for a year or few months by now. It is way easier to get a good trade in offer for a 50i than a 40i. Dealers are able to sell 50i for a good number and should be willing to buy your care no matter what (it will sell in a week!)

Yea. We did a good deal of research on what they're going for. Mine has all options except B&W (which my 23 will have..mistake not getting it last time) and even has Individual leather & trim plus rear seat entertainment. My husband is a harrrrrd negotiator and this was as best as they'd give us. We even tried another dealership, who offered a lot less. I think they'll easily sell it for 70.

The problem when negotiating a trade in while buying a new car is that there is not much pressure you can put in because the dealer knows you are buying the new vehicle regardless.
When you trade in while considering a pre-owned vehicle, the story is different. Dealer has to give you a good offer to make sure he can sell you the pre-owned one and yet he is making money on both deals at the same time. Good luck with the negotiations. Might want to try a 3rd dealer if there are any around and see what you can get.
