starting at 40K mile test on the X7 M50i
they added winter tires in 20" so far, wish they had a hitch and will have dealer install. Performance vs 40i.... 0-60 in 4.1, 40i 5.4 12.6 @ 110 1/4 mile, 40i 14.0@ 99 30-50: 2.8, 40i 3.3 50-70: 3.2, 40i 4.0 Edit vs 50i 0-60 4.6, 1/4 mile 13.2 @ 107 70-0 Braking: 152ft! recall 40i on all seasons was 184 ft, so M brake kit summer tires making diff here. (i think it's mostly the tire). 169 ft for 50i on Continental Rft 21" tire: Pirelli PZ4, 40i Bridgestone Alenza A/S run flat https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...y-maintenance/ Last edited by like2short; 02-14-2020 at 01:19 PM.. |

Good to watch this long term road test. Especially as a new model, the jury is out as to the vehicle's reliability and long term maintenance requirements.

Also loved seeing the 66 decibels at 70mph, which matches the S-Class. This reinforces what I love so much about my M50i: power, luxury, presence. |
