Automatic Time Zone Change

Can this be coded using BimmerCode? If so, how?

I live in eastern New Mexico and when I cross into Texas the time zone changes but it doesn’t change in the car.

Thanks

I think it gets time from connected drive. So assuming you have an active connected drive subscription and Navi, When the auto time has stopped working in the past with me Ive gone to the settings page in idrive and unchecked the "automatically get time" box and recheck it and it seems to "reconnect" it and start working again.

It gets it's time from the Nav. Mine always makes the change with Daylight Savings Time on its own.

Ok so it's not a coding thing, it's a subscription thing.

Thank you all.

Or not. I don't have a subscription. Even if I disconnect the battery to do work after reconnecting it will reset itself within a few minutes.
Per my manual:
Automatic time setting
Depending on your vehicle's optional features,
the time, date and, if needed, the time zone are
updated automatically.
1. "Settings"
2. "Time/Date"
3. "Auto time set"

I can't recall if I ever did this. I bet the dealer did before I took delivery.

Mine is a bit weird. If I disconnect the battery the car complains that date and time needs setting but all I do is go into the Time/Date menu, turn auto time set off and on again and that's it.

If I drive over to France though then it seems to be stuck on UK time unless I toggle auto time set off and on again and then it switches to the CET time zone. Perhaps if I left it a bit longer it would eventually just sort itself out.
