Second, applied GYEON Quartz Q2 LeatherShield, and let that dry overnight. On my F15, one application lasted me 6-12 months.

For future touch ups, I have a stockpile of BMW wipes - one package contains 10 wipes, or spritz GYEON Quartz Q2M mild leather cleaner.

I also recommend BMW LeatherCare with UV protection kit with great results.

I have been researching the LeatherShield. Gyeon says not to use it on aniline leather. Do you know if the Merino leather is this type? Have you had any problems with using this? Just want to make sure. I have ivory as well and would like to protect it, but they say to use the leathercoat if it is.

So you bought the Luxury Line and essentially created your own shadow line package? I have been wondering how that would look. A few quick questions....

1) Did you buy the OEM shadow line "hockey stick" side trim, or have your chrome ones vinyl wrapped?

2) Why didn't you wrap the front chrome trim piece as well? Too difficult for the installer?

3) Did you also vinyl wrap the silver trim around the windows? Did the installer have any unique challenges?

4) How much to get all of the vinyl wrapping done (if that is what you did)?

5) How much to get the exhaust tips powder coated? Or did you paint them yourself?

Looks good and unique!

I actually wrapped everything with 3m 2080 wrap with the exception of the grill which is oem m grill. I quoted the roof and the installer wanted $700 to do it (yikes) . so i have a friend that dis some wrapping before and asked him if he can do it so we both did it while we were
Learning. He also taught me how to do the smaller pieces and did them at my own patience.
The front chrome looks very hard and needs a 1x5 roll that i have not order yet but will di when j get more time in my hands.
The exhaust i did also myself following what others did in this forum. I bought a kit called shadow for chrome. It held up very good after 2k miles of high speed.
So material i must of spend about $200
Hope this helps

bmwar - beautiful! Is it Alpine or Mineral White?

Still a head scratcher that BMW doesn't offer the same wheels with Black accents on the M50i when Shadowline is selected.

It's frustrating because they clearly belong on shadow line optioned M50i's. They are also, in my opinion, their best looking wheels, and should be available on all builds.

Mineral White.

Actually don't have the extended shadow option. That's why the exhaust is still cer grey.

Wrapped the front bumper trim, side view mirrors, hockey sticks and the trim between tail lights.

The grill is an OEM black grill. The m50 has grey accents in the grill that is part of the active grill. Chose to leave those grey and it looks really good IMO.

Window tint:
Windshield 50%
Front windows 30%

The black accent wheels would look even better and match your black trim mods. I like the Cerium Gray accents and wheels but only on the darker colors (Phytonic Blue, Carbon Black, etc.)

Thank you. Greatly appreciated. Aiming to dial it in when we return from vacation. Add some OEM shadowline bits and some minor touches to create an OEM+ look. Then spring OEM 22" wheels but cannot decide which way to go. I browse this thread for ideas but which do you recommend out of style 757 vs. 755 (gloss black pockets w/ polished face)?

Mine is in post #110 in this thread. It came with the polished/black staggered 22's, which I have stored in my warehouse. I currently have the same wheels as you have with the winter tires I bought for our vacation trip. They will be swapped out after we get through with our travels to colder climates in late March.

Picked up my TB x40i two weeks ago. Loving it so far. Went with Coffee extended Merino with luxury seating package and amazed at how comfortable they are and how smooth the ride is. Waiting for a free night or two when I have time to do some paint correction and ceramic coating.

It's my 4th BMW but first time with M Sport brakes and man you guys weren't kidding about the dust! Awesome bite though. After driving this for a week I almost plowed into the car in front of me getting back in my wrangler having forgotten how much the Jeep's brakes stink with a lift and larger tires. Definitely adding a brake upgrade to my Jeep's future...

According to his bio it's Tanzanite but I thought it was Carbon Black also. I've seen Tanzanite II in person and it's very dark blue with lots of metallic. Those Coffee Extended Merino seats are beautiful!

It's Tanzanite Blue. It looks darker because it was a little cloudy then.
