New M4 steering wheel for X7 :)
From the buttons design, I assume the both X7 and new M4 steering wheel functionalities are identical (except the M buttons). Would you consider replacing yours with the one below? I believe it would look great on X7.

It looks gorgeous indeed. Furthermore, it requires a technician to swap the airbag between the steering wheels. |

tbh this is the steering wheel that I want to retrofit on my X7. Anyone thinks it would work? buttons seem to be similar and it works with the same iDrive version/headunit software on the 7 series

I've been waiting to upgrade my m50i wheel to something more aggressive but I don't think BMW sells these individually and I didn't want to risk the warranty for something aftermarket. If BMW offered those carbon fiber full M wheels with flat bottoms or that new one in the i5 and not void the warranty, I would do it.

On the topic of steering wheel, I wish on X7s with the M package, they used the version with chrome buttons (see photo) as it goes better with the rest of the switches on the X7. Trying to find if there's a version of this chrome button steering wheel that would fit the LCI. This photo is from a 2022 7 series.
EDIT: Found these buttons as a separate part. I wonder if just replacing the buttons would work on X7 LCI. They seem to be the exact same buttons that comes on the LCI. Any thoughts or advice? |
