Yeah, still waiting. I had planned on placing the order this summer, or maybe waiting until MY2021. But the China Coronavirus thing has messed everything up, top to bottom, so the X7 purchase is on hold again. (dammit) I'm not liking what I'm seeing in MY2021, either.

I would just order a 2020 and by the time it's ready, things would've either settled down or went south all the way.

Good luck finding one!! I think I got the last one in the North East to Midwest. What a struggle that was to find . I heard there were a couple in the southeast but that was a few weeks ago when I ordered mine. Don't know about the west coast. They may all be gone by now. M50i allocations are different from 40i. 40i was much easier to find since they were at a higher quantity allocation.

My advice call dealer after dealer which is what I did..... so many dealers !! Some dealers won't even tell you about an allocation if it does exist somewhere else because they don't want to lose your sale if they can't transfer the allocation. They will basically stall you out until your are stuck in the future 2021 model or you buy off their lot. I experienced that from multiple dealers. A friend of a friend eventually got me the info of where one was available. That dealer didn't want to trade to my local dealers so I'm picking up a couple states over.

I ordered my 2020 the week before the MY21 changes were announced. Boy am I glad I did! The dealership sent my original build (before I upgraded to B&W) to the factory and it arrived there 2.5 weeks ago. It's an M50i Ametrin with Cognac interior, Executive Package, Luxury Seating, Drivers Assist, Cold weather, etc etc. I don't know about anymore allocations but that one is still on the lot if interested.

My order went in on June 5th and I check every day only to see "scheduled for production" as the status. I'm doing an Individual color-anyone know how long that might take to actually start? The dealership sent my original build to the factory in late April with the same color combination and it's already at the dealership!

I just spoke to BMW genius and they told me I'm in production for week 28 which is July 5th. I don't know if I'm going to take the car if it doesn't have the CarKey hardware. Insane.

I've wondered about this. Not just RSE, but any of the options that they're removing in MY2021, which seem to be in part because of supply issues. Will they be reintroduced once everything gets back to some sort of new normal? I think it's possible. Rather silly to not have RSE and full Merino leather on even the top end flagship X7 models.

That was my dilemma...but then I thought what happens if I do wait and it doesn't come back. Then I'll be waiting for a 2022 to see if it does ...which means Aug 2021 at the earliest. Then by that time I'll be waiting on the LCI most likely.

I just didn't see it worth the wait just to hope they bring it back...plus the incentives and rates today are a bonus.

That's good logic. I just pouted around the house for like a week.

I locked in June but my X7 will be an August production and hopefully August delivery. Otherwise I might be in a pickle.

Hey everyone, my sales advisor told me today that "it would be no problem" to add full ivory merino leather with an ivory headliner on 2021, even though I thought that had been removed from the 2021 year. Can anybody confirm if that's actually the case? Is it possible that dealers are able to enter orders beyond what's in the option guide?

I'd be surprised if that were the case. The information on this forum has been pretty consistent and the option guides are typically accurate and "official." My sales advisor tells me frequently that they are "the last to know anything" (I'm actually educating her on what I learn on the forums), so I wouldn't be surprised if your SA hasn't been updated on the up-to-date 2021 changes.
