So, I will say that when accelerating from a dead standstill with the M50i, there was a point at just a few miles per hour, when the turbos spooled up and the power kicked in, that there was a surge of power, kind of like the "jump" you're asking about. I do think it might take a bit of learning a finesse with the right foot, to ensure a totally smooth acceleration from a stop. But all other rolling accelerations were very smooth. Strong and powerful. Such a throaty growl from the engine.

I did do a highway on-ramp rapid acceleration from almost a dead stop. It was a "jam the pedal, holy crap that's fast, aaaaaand... I'm already at highway speeds". Like every X7 model, it's so deceptively smooth and quiet, that if you don't look down at the HUD/speedometer, you could easily drive 100mph, with no realization you're travelling so fast.

Is the steering any different then the standard car? I find the rack too slow and kinda sloppy in comparison with my Q7.

I don't think there's any difference in steering between any of the X7 models. TBH, I haven't had a problem with the steering in any of the X7's I've drive, and have found them to be on point.

Same here, rather get the X5M for that money. NO BRAINER
I looked at the X5M and not only is it outdated when compared to the current generation it’s also not big enough for our family. Vehicles are not one size fits all so what is a waste* and a no brainer to you is the perfect fit for others. Thanks to BMW we have many options.
If you need 6 or 7 seats an x7 is a choice. It's not always about the speed

Has anyone seen a review of an M50i in either X5 or X7 form? Seems like they’ve been out for a month or two now but I still haven’t seen any reviews. Are automotive journalists just not interested?

That is one beautiful X7. I have ordered the exact combination and it's being Quality Checked right now at the factory. I also opted for the Dynamic Steering/Handling package. Has anyone else got behind the wheel of one with that package?

How's Park Ave BMW been with service?

I'm picking up my M50i in 2 weeks from them and hope they're responsive to issues like these or you dealing mostly with BMWNA?

How has your experience with the white blue interior been so far (assuming you still have the car)? Is it hard to keep clean?

I try to clean it with a damp microfiber rag every two weeks and it looks good thus far.

I am getting a new car next month as my car is still having a gas leak and an engine light keeps on turning on.

Good luck, I hope your new car is issue free.

Are dealership service departments generally good to a customer who is having problems with an x7 that they didn't buy from that dealership? I know warranty is warranty, but with serious issues and replacing a vehicle, are you going to get as much help from a dealership regardless of where you actually bought the x7?

Not sure how other dealership will deal with an issue. However, the dealership i got the car from took care of everything.

But i called BMW North America and they told me they can help me as well if the dealership had any issues.

I did get my replacement car and so far so good.

I expect that in my Jeep but not BMW....but again, aren’t the seats made by Magna. Lots of complaints all around.

This car was my first X7 that BMW replaced for me. The second one is fine.
