No Comfort Plus Mode

Test driving the X7 I was unable to find a Comfort Plus mode, which is offered in the 7 series. For those of you that have taken delivery of your X7s, can you verify the X7 does not have Comfort Plus mode?

Thanks

If I'm not mistaken the comfort plus mode on the 7-series sedan is based on the following as detailed on an article I found on autoblog:
"a complex system called Active Comfort Drive with Road Preview adds anticipatory functions to the active chassis with air suspension, while the Integral Active Steering (variable-ratio rear-wheel steering) now comes with all-wheel drive. The automatic transmission downshifts on its own, based on what the navigation system tells the transmission about the road ahead, for example a hill"

What seems like the equivalent of this system is optional on the X7 via the $4750 Dynamic Handling package. Details on the X7 configurator describe this system as:

Active Comfort Drive with Road Preview

Active Comfort Drive's electromechanically-operated stabilization system allows your vehicle to handle corners with comfort and precision. Road Preview uses a forward-facing camera mounted behind the rear view mirror to read the road surface and adjust the suspension system in real time via the Dynamic Damper Control system. Together, they impart an unrivaled combination of sporty handling and luxurious riding comfort.

Integral Active Steering

Integral Active Steering maximizes agility at low speeds and maximizes stability at high speeds. At lower speeds, the rear wheels turn oppositely to the front wheels, allowing for a sharper turning radius thereby making parking and cornering easier. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels, which helps improve vehicle stability and lane change comfort.

Probably not as sophisticated as the comfort plus mode of the 7-series but I'm sure it's not far off if not nearly equivalent in effectiveness. To me the ride quality in X7 is equally as superb as the 7-series. If anything, the 7-series just benefits slightly more from plusher rear seats.

The X7 is not a true 7 series that’s lifted more of a stretch X5, hence the missing mode and hence the price difference between the 7 series and X7. It’s still comfy with air suspension .

This sounds more like the Adaptive setting. On my G12, comfort is a good all around setting, comfort plus make is more floaty, and adaptive adjusts to road/driving conditions. My wife's 540 doesn't have the comfort plus and the X5 loaner I recently had didn't have it either. It'll be another week before I can check out my X7 though.

I have a 750 equipped with the active comfort drive and I do not have the comfort plus mode on mine.

I have the X7 with the DHP option and the ride quaility on comfort and adaptive modes is equally superb. And that’s with 22s. Just bonkers.

I press Comfort twice to get Comfort Plus. My wife's 5 only has Comfort.

My F10 5 series had it so it's not exclusive to the 7.

Comfort plus made my F10 feel like a Buick. It's a matter of preference but it certainly wasn't for me. My G30 doesn't have Comfort Plus and I certainly don't miss it.

Now we know, G07 has comfort plus, it is just hidden. I did spent two hours comparing comfort and comfort plus, no real difference. Sport Plus, however, is a different story.

Tell us about Sport Plus? What does it offer over Sport?
Thank you.

Sport+ does not come on the X7 from the factory, at least not on the 40i or 50i (but the M50i has it). If you want it on the 40i or 50i, you will need to get your car coded to turn it on.

As far as what it offers, based on my experience with an X5 40i loaner that had it, you get more aggressive throttle mapping for the engine, more aggressive/quicker transmission shifts (up & down), stiffer steering, and stiffer suspension. I have not coded my X7 for this functionality, but I suspect it will be very similar if not exactly the same.
