Looks similar to BMW's old Fern Green but a lot brighter and more metallic, I love it! I want it on every BMW, too bad no one cares for green cars anymore

That's what she said.

Cool vid, but I'm still not seeing yet, differences in the exterior from the stock X7.

Was the driver weaving on the straightaway, to warm up the tires even MORE?

Just high speed lane change stability being tested.

That thing sounds like a beast. For an X7, it looks good and it sounds better on the straight that the new M3...

Alpina version of X7 being offered in the US is a high probability. The US is a big SUV market - difficult to ignore.

This is one ugly and pointless machine however. You have to wonder why Alpina bother to waste their talents on it. I know, I know, some people like enormous SUVs. Just think what else you could buy with the same money though....

a normal Cayenne Turbo with 0 options :rofll:
No three rows
how fast do you think you can go with 7 people in the car or how fast can you corner.
Trying to make this huge SUV with huge ground clearance sporty really just means that you can sell anything to people with too much money and want exclusivity anything.

Still no 3rd row. Regardless of what people think, there are people out there with a need for a 3rd row at times who are willing to pay a premium to also drive something high performance. They are smart for this the same way Mercedes keeps the popular gls63.

Agreed. There's also really not that much point in building a car that does 0-60 in 3 seconds, 180mph, and can go around a sharp corner at 80mph. In the real world you'll rarely do any of those things. But we buy them because we love them!

I wanted something that could haul my family of 6, tow, and would still be at least somewhat exciting to drive. Could have bought a Navigator, Escalade, or something like that, but for only a little more money I can get an M50i with 500+ horsepower and a mean sounding exhaust?

I'm in!

nope you could take a M3 to the track hence a 0-60 in 3 sec. is needed. A SUV like this makes no sense. Performance in a high heavy 8 passenger SUV is absurd.

Still not seeing anything new on it yet. Still looks like an M50i to me. Waiting for the final body kit, which might have slight changes.

From that first link:

Accelerating from standstill to 100 km/h will most likely take under 4.0 seconds, given the xDrive traction and the spectacular engine.
<giggling madly>

I would likely kill myself within a month in that thing.
