iDrive Screen Cleaning

This touchscreen is a bloody bad idea, it looks awful!

What are people using to clean the display?

Cheers.

I think BMW should have stuck to their guns and not bothered putting pointless touch screen on their iDrive. Having the wheel is infinitely better.

I used a screen protector now which makes it a bit more straightforward to clean without worrying about introducing any marring.

Just a clean microfibre cloth with some non-acidic sunglasses spray (courtesy of a sunglasses shop with free refills or life!).

I use Aldi's W5 glasses wipes, on my screen and speedo binnacle.
No smears and streak free

Screen wipes and wipe off the residue with a clean microfibre cloth works well on screens.

Slightly damp microfiber cloth will clean & remove any fingerprints.

Once clean, erase the feature from your mind .... I'd forgotten it existed on mine!

Thanks everyone, I’m giving the car it’s first clean Friday and the marks are horrible on the screen.

Everyone is banned from using it now, if they ask if it’s touchscreen the answer is no

I was thinking hey, touchscreen would be nice.
But it's a bit far away to use comfortably.

And a passenger has the time to use the slower but still great hand controller.

I use Novus 1 plastic cleaner and a very soft microfibre cloth.
