The KBB says my 21 w/24K miles is worth $75K at the midpoint for a private party sale. That car had a $94K MSRP.
That’s a great deal I am in Bay Area too and was only able to get 1k off msrp. I was still still able to get NFCU $1500 rebate and $750 loyalty as well although I am financing through BMW financials.

Hey all, first post here as I'm planning to get back into a BMW after a while. Wanting to order a M60i and visited a dealer here in DC area last weekend. They told me I would have to get in line as they have 2 customers waiting before me. Is this really the case elsewhere too? Was very surprised. I have an appointment with another dealer tomorrow.
Thanks for sharing all the ordering info and discounts, this forum has been a great help so far!!

Discount off MSRP 3-5% becoming easier, New England. 5-7% achievable if Q1 2023 allocation deep south and west.

Appreciate the info! Q1 2023 allocation is exactly what I'm trying to get into. Had another dealer offering at MSRP today in MD. Moved here from the Midwest, I guess I'll reach out to local dealer there next if no better luck here...

I can get 3k off a 40i plus incentives from my dealer on in stock or ordered 40i or 60. Still not best, but its better.

Yes I've been trying to figure exactly what this means myself. I live in Washington state and will probably take delivery early February. Maybe they will be offering MSRP discounts by then because as of now, none of the three dealerships in western Washington are offering anything but MSRP. The best I could negotiate when ordering was a set of OEM cross bars thrown in.

If you're going to take delivery in February, might as well wait a few months until April/May and get the updated Driving Assistance Professional package.

I could care less about the car being able to drive itself at 80mph. It's been such a hassle getting a car ordered, having options disappear, reappear, disappear again etc. that I'm taking delivery before they drop more options are dropped. Now if you could tell me that DHP/IAS we're coming back in April, that would be worth waiting for.

I think this is a very useful function on long road trips to reduce fatigue. I have this on my other car and use it frequently.
Any idea if the updated driving assist functions for the X7 will be software upgradable to current purchases or is it going to be a hardware update?

Dynamic Handling Package removed from 40i build options?

I am working on finalizing my build for a '23 X7 40i (Brooklyn Grey if curious lol), and dealership is saying the ZDH Dynamic Handling Package is currently unavailable? Has anyone experienced this recently and can no longer add this as an option?

Also Phasers - can you share where you saw there is going to be an updated Driving Assistance Professional package? Would love to know in case its worth waiting, or if I should just move forward with build as-is with current Driving Assistance Professional Package (ZDY) which includes "Active Driving Assistant Pro" in the build. (Similar thinking to PL just now!)

Thanks!

DHP and IAS were removed from X40i production as of mid-October (I believe the Genius told me 10/12 to be exact). If your car wasn't in production by that date, you did not and will not receive even if you placed an order prior to that date and were able to add it on the initial build. There is no current time frame as to if or when it will be available again for the X40i. If DHP is a must have for you, you will have to go the M60i route.

Or wait a few months perhaps, if lack of DHP offering on 40i is due to chip shortages.

Wish I could wait a few months to place order but need the X7 to be in hand before baby #2 is born…sadly it’ll prob be too hectic and too close of a call to wait a few months and then hope it arrives in time #facepalm lol

The problem is that us as customers will never know when it's coming back until it's here. I don't think BMW will ever release a statement saying "DHP and IAS will be back in April 2023 for the 40i". They won't lock themselves into a future date like that. It's bad business because when and if that date comes and there's still no DHP or IAS, customers have more to complain about. So customers like us have to decide how long we are willing to wait, and the only right answer as to how long to wait is up to each individual. You may get lucky, wait a month, and it's back. You may get unlucky, wait six months, take delivery two months later, and then it becomes available again. You may wait a year and it never comes back. My CA said that since 2021, they've had numerous options on several models that come and go, come and go again, and again, and some that never come back. I'm in the same boat, and believe me I will be greatly disappointed when I take delivery in February of IAS is again available.

Word on the interwebs is a hardware service pack along with software will be upgraded providing the capability. We will see in Apr.

As for the fatigue part, I 100% agree, but also think what the X7 has now is sufficient. I assume the update will allow full hands free up to 85mph. While it sounds nice, I'm just not ready to trust the X7's software to make decisions for my family and I whilst we hurdle down the highway at 80mph. i'm always on the lookout for obstacles and other drivers doing stupid things. The current system just requires you to have a hand on the wheel which is what I prefer anyway in case I need to take over.

In constructions zones with multiple traffic lines/lanes changing, the X7 has already tried to take exits or aggressively move into another lane because the software thinks the lane is headed that way when in fact it has changed and the crew couldn't remove the previous line 100%.

I currently drive without lane assist on for that reason. On long, stable highways outside of constructions zones, I turn it back on along with drivers assist, but rest my hand on the wheel at all times. Reduces fatigue quite a bit as I'm not constantly trying to keep the X7 in the lane making those minor steering inputs. Also, don't have to worry about maintaining speed now and the new features allowing you to adjust speeds without turning off the assistance is nice. Haven't tried that yet.

Just think full autonomous driving is a risk that I'm not ready to take, but know others want to use it.
