Factory option 328 Aluminum running boards in body color ($400) is available for 40i M Sport, but not M50i.

Looks it was installed at the dealer - notice that it's not painted to match the body color but painted in shadowline black to match the hockey stick side trim.

Customer had them installed. Yes you are correct that you cannot get them on a M50i.

Beautiful color.Looks great on the X7.It’s similar to Long Beach Blue but lighter.Very sporty.It would have looked even better with the full shadowline package and the black 755M wheels.I also don’t like the look of the running boards on the X7.BMW should make this a standard color for the X7.

The color is very specific and will go well with the right owners personality. IMO, it looks like South Florida or Malibu type of climate color. Very beach/warm weather sort of look.
