I must admit that at first I found the X7 to be very boring and the kidney grills are still to big in my opinion. But the look grows on me

I don't care how you slice it, these grills are the 996 of BMW's. They're utterly horrendous in all respects to what it otherwise an absolutely beautiful vehicle. Such a shame for what seemingly is an obvious misstep.

Love the grill! Quite appropriate for a full size SUV. BMW has done great by making cars of all sizes and forms, giving us the opportunity to choose what we want. X7 has come stay no matter what. We have gone past the stage of what it should be like. If you do not like it just choose another BMW or a different car make you love. So easy!

I know a lot of you will disagree but I actually think the grill should be wider because now it looks shrunk. I did a quick photoshop, take a look below and let me know what you think

Slow your roll. I think the X7 is beautiful aside from one element. Countless others share the same sentiment. Maybe it will grow on me, likely not, but who knows. It's less about the size and more about the shape and proportions. They simply do not match the look and feel of an exquitely beautiful vehicle otherwise. They're clunky and oblong. Just a weird misstep.

You guys looked good in the rain with the AWD in the M5s. We had to take it slow on day 2. I am planning to go back this or next year for lapping in M5s.

I head to Sweden end of next month for 4 days of Level 3 snow and ice training, and looking forward to the M850 at the Ring in the fall (doubt M8 will be available).

My M5 group had 2 inexperienced M5 owners (despite the pre-req being a previous Ring course, as BMW allowed them to sign up), but the MxDrive still made them look good in the rain.

The Ring gas station owner told me that only € 10,000 was spent in gas during our training dates, as usually in dry weather the petrol bill is around € 18,000. Also told that MB is notorious for being excessively late with payment for their Ring track training events petrol bill.
