Wondering what is it showing in the HUD? Do you have HUD in your 2020 X7? I wouldn't want to see the Cockpit for the assisted view. In fact, I mostly concentrate on the HUD instead. It's something great that every car should have.

Well that sucks. Anything new that update DID Give?

Did you have to request it, or did the dealer upgrade it for you while in for service?

I have HUD in my 2020, and it is showing steering wheel in green, plus the icon for road and lines, depend on the conduction the lines and distance will change same way as on the cockpit. When I take hands of the wheel after some time it will blink orange and the wheel will show hands moving on to it as suggesting to put hands back on the steering wheel. I have tried this yesterday and over 15 miles or so it was working well no issues. My kids have been amazed as car was driving on its own. and yes HUD is showing quite a lot.

I had the new Q7 with HUD and I have to say the level of details and colors and animations including maps what is shown in X7 is much greater. However I have to say I still like the google maps with satellite imaging that Audi has unfortunately X7 is lacking it

Not sure if anyone has asked their dealer but this is what I got back..

"This will not come as a software update. It will come on vehicles produced July and August production for SUVs. This is called foresight and it has to be built into the car."

I'm curious if he mean and beyond. I would imagine that is the case.

Thanks for the info. That sucks for me. I picked mine up mid June. So I just missed out. Guess that's what happens when you choose NOT to wait and build a 2020. Oh well. Guess that had to put SOMETHING in the 2020s to make them different.

It can be coded on so don't worry. Someone has successfully enabled it on 19.

I have a feeling that might be beyond my scope. Unless something like Bimmercode adds it to its profile. I am a technical guy, but fiddling with the code of a 100k car has me a little hesitant. Unless someone is in Tampa area and knows how to do this 😎

I did some testing. It can only be enabled on software version 7/2019 and above. I have 3/2019 and it doesn't work.

Just got mine updated to 07/2019.47 today. The displays have been updated a bit (like the center cluster shows a bigger map) but the Assisted View is not there.

Waiting on BimmerCode to step in now and do the magic for all 2019 07/2019 version users.

That thread shows the following code to enable:

>>These are the required codes for Assisted Driving View:

DKOMBI:
CB_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS: aktiv [01]
CB_PRESELECT_NAVI_ANSICHT_FZG_UMGEBUNG: aktiv [01]
PIA_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS: aktiv [01]
SICHT_ABSICHT_ENABLE: aktiv [01]

Pre-Requisites:
- i-Step 2019_07.x
- 5AU DAP

Confirmed working on:
- UK G05 with i-step 2019_07.47
- AUSY G05 with i-step 2019_07.39

>>I have 07/2019.47 on my G07 2019. Is it possible to use it in BimmerCode in the Expert Mode? Does it require any special ECU to be enables first?

I don't think Bimmercode can tap into DKOMBI as of yet. You can only use expert mode in supported ECU, like HU-MGT.

ESYS is easier than you think, you know. There is definitely a learning curve but it is manageable.

Appreciate it. Well, I can definitely give it a try but didn't just want to poke into the new stuff.

Can I still use my OBDLink MX+ Adapter with ESys setup? Can you please post some easy steps (updated procedure) for having the Esys up and running? I see some posts about it but they are pretty backdated material. Thanks in advance!!!!

I found this YouTube video. Anyone thinks by following it, Esys can be installed? I see in the video the guy has probably downloaded and installed too many apps in his environment. Do you think its all necessary to follow his steps exactly? Thanks for the help!

I believe I did have some instruction documents when I got mine. I will share them here once I got home.

ESYS is free but you do have to pay for LauncherPro from TokenMaster. LauncherPro is basically a UI to interact with ESYS. And I don't think you can use MX Link adapter, you will need a Ethernet to OBD Interface Cable plus adapter.
