Here's my historic tracking of fall BMWFS lease rates for G05:

2020YM X5s
Aug 2019 - 0.00145 MF, 10K/58%, 12K/57%, 15K/55%
Sep 2019 - 0.00128 MF, 10K/56%, 12K/55%, 15K/53% (-2% residuals on 2020 to move 2019 inventory)
Oct 2019 - 0.00128 MF, 10K/56%, 12K/55%, 15K/53% (-2% residuals on 2020 to move 2019 inventory)

Nov 2019 - 0.00128 MF, 10K/58%, 12K/57%, 15K/55%
Dec 2019 - 0.00128 MF, 10K/58%, 12K/57%, 15K/55%
Jan 2020 - 0.00137 MF, 10K/57%, 12K/56%, 15K/54%

But since we're still in the middle of a pandemic, this can change next month.

What's great is BMWFS lease rates are at an all time low, BUT residuals are low on X5/6/7s and very high on BMW sedans, and new year model lease incentives start low.

What BMWFS might do is increase remaining MY20 residuals to move inventory.

:crosses fingers: for members taking delivery soon and for better Sept residuals and incentives
Do you happen know if you can combine lease incentive, loyalty and test drive discounts? I'm shooting for a deal in December.

As I mentioned earlier, those trends are pre-pandemic. Chasing a 1% shift in residual may not be worth it but 2% is worthwhile if there are incentive monies available - loyalty and lease cash - of course the more the better. MF seems to be low and constant. Also if you're a USAA/PFCU member, there's BMW cash there - $500. Don't forget $1K CCA post purchase rebate.

Yes, all of the above. For the test drive discount just check the disclaimer, usually you need to take delivery of your vehicle by a certain date.

Yes for sure banking on the BMWCCA credit

Being that I'm only at a $750 credit, .00099mf, 55% residual at 10k mi for MY2021 I would imagine shooting for a better deal in September might be worth it. Even a $30/mo difference is kinda worth it.

Quick question:

Just to confirm is the $750 credit = BMW loyalty rebate for current owners? Is this for MY2021 M50i?

Thanks!

I believe so. Only $750 for August 2021. Not sure how "new" your current BMW must be or if you need to provide proof of registration either.

I don't remember it being loyalty.
It's a rebate offered by bmw i.e. assistance in down payment for any customer. Call it a promo to bring in buyers.

Loyalty would be a totally additional on top of that.

I don't see this $750 credit or loyalty on BMW's website for 2021MY at least for my zip code. Is this unadvertised and should ask my sales person?

Well, just as I thought we are nearing completion of my lease deal with my dealer they shot over their proposal for 2021 X7 m50i lease for 3 years / 36K miles.

They are quoting $1440 a month on a car with final sales price of $93,780.

Based on Leasehackr calculator, I am seeing $1330 a month with 0.00099MF and 54% residual, and 8.25% IL tax. What am I missing other than a big ass margin being attached by my dealer? I've asked to provide more detail on fees and rates for my review.

Thanks

I'm not sure how Illinois handles vehicle sales tax and the only way I could see a high payment is rolling your fees and taxes into the monthly payment - eg zero drive off.

IL charges tax on the monthly lease. Based on my math, they must have included $4K of additional costs to get to $1443 per month with no down payment.

I believe you are correct - looks like I get to their amount if I assume zero drive off which includes all fees, including doc, acquisition/disposal, and 1st month.

Well, drama with the dealership continues.

Quick question is MF of 0.00099 and Residual values published anywhere? My dealer is clearly trying to pad the MF (about 100bp) to bring up their monthly lease payment by more than $100. I wasn't sure if there was anything I can point to that says that BMWFS is offering less.

Also, if they don't budge, what choices do I have since I ordered and taking delivery at that dealer?

Thanks

You can post your question with zip code, X7, lease term (3yr/10-12-15) at Edmunds Forum and a Mod will reply with rates. It's an invaluable forum to verify manufacturer incentives, MF, and residuals.

https://forums.edmunds.com/discussio...-prices#latest

BMWFS primarily uses a single MF rate across the majority of BMW models, there may be rare instances where it could differ but that's very rare. Residuals definitely vary across models including incentives.

Base MF for X models is 0.00099 and BMWFS does allow dealers to markup the MF. Residuals are:

7.5K = 56 / 10K = 55 / 12K = 54 / 15K = 52

Options are to negotiate MF and be very adamant or walk away if you're able to without loosing any deposit.

An approach is have sales increase the discount of the vehicle more 0.5-1% to compensate for increased MF

Give them some time to reply, it may be 2-3hours - there's 2-3 Mods that monitor the forums. If you subscribe to the thread, you'll get email updates when they reply to the thread.

And I meant write increase discount LOL.

Yep, don't want to lose any more of my discount. I knew it was too easy with them giving me 7% off MSRP but then they tack on extra $4K in finance charges!
