Thankful to have the pre-lci model as the front end is simply a nonstarter for me personally. Especially since they did away with the adaptive headlights which seems asinine to me. They come in so handy while driving twisty roads at night.
I guess I'll need to suffer with my measly 612 ponies instead of the 630.

That absolutely is a inferior headlight setup purposely chosen which is concerning that it is showing the priority BMW is willing to sacrifice for a style change. How very unGermanic of BMW. Personally the front end looks like a E Entertainment documentary of “Facial plastic surgeries gone horribly wrong”. Last edited by MystroX5; 09-20-2022 at 10:12 AM.. |

You brought up the number of pistons but not any other factor that make brakes work. Clearly it’s meaningless by itself, or BMW wouldn’t have fitted them in this car. |

Like I've mentioned before; when Kia poached all those engineers a few years ago BMW should've scrapped whatever designs they were working on and started fresh. WTF were they thinking?

Interesting that this car is missing the rear seat entertainment option. Inventory must be in very short supply. Also surprised they haven't incorporated some version of the new 7 series theater TV option. I think this is a big oversight on BMW and Alpina's part.

Does anyone know if the XB7 will initially come with the anticipated 4/23 updates such as "Highway Assistant" or will they be introduced to the XB7 at the same time as the other X7 models this spring? Thank you!

The point being, Alpina customers don't track their cars, they typically use them as high-speed cruisers. I'm sure there's some exception, but how many XB7's do you expect to see taking turn 8 at Laguna Seca? Thus, Alpina can use less expensive brakes which require less expensive pads and maintenance. Presumably they have enough stopping power for an emergency stop from 180mph, but not repeated abuse on track like an Urus is designed for.

It's nice sure, but at that price we are talking G-wagons and well-equipped Range Rovers. Those look macho and worthy of their price, whereas this looks looks mom's Costco mobile.

Where have you seen a G-Wagon lately for $150K?

I suggest you do some research on pricing before posting. Also people who purchase X7 size vehicles and specifically XB7 don't even consider G-Wagons due to size, comfort, exclusivity, etc. Last edited by NLRMS; 09-20-2022 at 08:42 PM.. |
