Key Fob Submersion

Well, it happened. Wifey had the key tucked inside her waistband and forgot about it. When she dropped trou to answer the call the key fob fell in the toilet. Thank God it was pre-whiz or dump and she snatched it out of there pretty quick, so no enhanced contamination, just H2O. It seems to be working ok now. My worry is will it act up later. We are going to Vermont in a little over a week and I don't want to get on the road and this thing crap out on us. no pun intended. I think I'll use the other one to be on the safe side. Anyone else Thanks.

Not sure about the X7 but all my cars before have a rubber gasket that keeps out the wet. I wouldn't go swimming with it in my pocket but every day sweat and rain and accidental dropping in water shouldn't affect it at all.

If your concerned, throw the key fob in a zip lock bag full of uncooked rice. The rice will draw the moisture out of the key fob. 24 hours buried in the rice should do it.
