For a moment I thought the pace car will win the race today ..
Can Max get out of his contract if this continues? Hate to see him suffer, although RIC had many of the same issues last year.

Lewis pulled the oldest trick in the books on the restart, slow up the field and then escape. Vettel should have known it was coming. I like the Ferrari team, but that was some bs he pulled slamming into Lewis's side.

Yeah , Max was 4 times out in 6 races and he said he was/is very disappointed !
Imagine...If he would get a better car , but I know Renault is working on it 24/7

I just went on Google for his contract and Horner says the Red Bull contracts from Max and Ricciardo are set for 2018 .
Horner says as well ..He's very happy with his drivers .

So probably we will see no changes in the Red Bull driver contracts for 2018 =>http://www.ad.nl/formule-1/contracte...icht~ae3ebe9f/

Unashamed RB fan here so have to say I felt for VER. But have to say I was all smiles at how the cards fell into place for fellow Aussie RIC - he did work to be in the right there to capitalise on the situation though!

Wow, the number of drivers who could have won that race today except for "what if" was staggering. Terrible luck for Force India, Massa, Hamilton, Verstappen, etc.

Did my eyes deceive me, or did Vettel pull alongside Hamilton and hit him intentionally right after he ran up the back of him? The angle was kind of odd, but I swear that's what I saw. How could he not be black flagged if that was the case?

Wouldn't mind seeing Max at Ferrari. Could you imagine Vettel's radio rants when his teammate races him hard. It would be a radio meltdown.

Although Vettel is adamant that he was brake-tested on the exit of Turn 15 prior to him making contact with the rear of the Mercedes, analysis of data from Hamilton's car by the FIA showed no proof of that.

The FIA investigation, which took place during the course of the race, threw up no suggestion that Hamilton had braked nor lifted off entirely.

Furthermore, analysis of how Hamilton had behaved in the first safety car restart, and the one after the incident, showed that the British driver had behaved exactly the same at that point of the track as he prepared to get back up to racing speed.
Fact is Vettel was left for dead on the previous restart and almost lost a place to Perez. He then was attempting to more aggressively stay close to Ham and get a better restart. His defense in post race interviews is embarrassing, even after being told telemetry showed Ham didn't brake check him.

I go by whats in front of me. If you watch this video and dont think Ham slowed down as he exits the turn around 11-12 seconds in, you're trippin..

Also, when did everyone turn into such vaginas.. holy fk.. was Vettel wrong, Yes.. I agree he shouldnt have done that.. was what he did dangerous?? NO.. given the road conditions, speed and skill of both drivers.. bumping tires isnt shit, but fkn ppl love making a big deal out of everything.

I was super happy that I didn't have to listen to HAM or VET on podium.

Why didn't RIC take off his shoes earlier?

Drag race between STROLL & BOTTAS was like F&TF... NOOOOO MONICA!!!!

Are you insane? Not "dangerous"? That's absurd. The carbon fibre suspension is incredible susceptible to shattering with just this sort of impact.

Bottom line: Vettel's temper got the better of him, and he was damn lucky to just get a 10 second penalty. This BS behaviour should have qualified for a DQ; it does matter he is a four time WC.

By that point ... Vettel would've likely been the winner. Hamilton would still had to pit. That intentional hit by Vettel cost him and Ferrari the win. 4 time Champ or not ... you know he got some serious explaining to do. I still can't believe he did that. Crazy.

Vettel would have been celebrating and Hamilton would have been irate.

I do think the only reason why Hamilton is being a bit chill about the bolster issue is because Vettel didn't win.

You've been watching too much NASCAR. Open wheel racing is not a contact sport.

Absolutely ... granted it's not as bad a Grosjean back in 2012, which got him a 2 race ban; but it was deliberate.

Although I believe Vettel should've been Black Flagged for the incident ... I understand the stewards hitting him with a Stop-n-Go penalty during the race, but should've been double that; insuring he wouldn't gain any team points for the race. Hitting him with a penalty which basically takes away the win wasn't enough.

The FIA needs to step in and address this, regardless of it being Vettel and Ferrari.

Frankly, I think the FIA should give him grid penalties for the next race. Enough to make sure that he's at the back of the pack on the start (ie. 35 spot penalty).

Am I the only one that find the images loaded today are a little darkish ?

It seems like much of them can have a +1 stop of light.
