I think I will go with 21's. I have Scorpion Verde all season Pirelli's on my Mercedes GLS now. They have been good but a bit noisy on certain road conditions.

The BMW config tool appears to only allow 21" Double-spoke bi-color orbit grey wheels with the MSport. I prefer the V-spoke bi-color black wheels but they only come in 22".

Does BMW allow special orders?

Would either of these tires work?

1. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Ultra High Performance All-Season
2. Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 (DWS for Dry, Wet & Snow) Ultra High Performance All-Season

Any suggestions what brand, model and exact tire size in "non rft" is best to replace the stock 21" A/S rft tires that came on a X7 M50i TIA

22inch M Lt/Aly Wheels, V-Spoke 755M, Bicolour
Jet Black, Perf RFT

Separately, is the display key worth getting?

thanks.
I would think long and hard before going with the 22". Currently, only summer tires are available for these wheels. They are expensive and you will be replacing them often. I went with the 21" for this reason. I also added the space saving spare tire so I could switch to non-run flats in the future if I wanted.
This is not quite accurate, they have 22" A/S tires

I ordered my 2020 X7 with 21" Non Run Flats and it came with the All Season Bridgestone Alenza Sport AS (285/45R21). I am very pleased with these tires and have 29K on them with a few thousand miles of tread left. I will be replacing them with the same tires when the time comes. Plus, they are also the cheapest in the Non Run flat category in this size and type.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and drive in all seasons all year round with these tires. No problem at all in rain and snow.

The US bridgestone site does not have the Alenza Sport AS tires listed at all.

You can check out the tire on Tirerack

Yeah. I don't what's up with that. Discount tire has them as well as Tire Rack and other dealers. The BMW dealership's can get them and often times they are competitive with Tire Rack.

I can’t find any in the stock 22” sizes. I see summer and winter but no A/S tires.

You would have to move to square set up. 315 in A/S ain't there

So there are no A/S tires in 22" factory size in the USA.

22” pirelli summer run flats which are shockingly well riding. My only small beef is that after 8k miles I can feel the grip is starting to suffer

21” blizzak run flats for winter. even better ride than the 22s

BMW was the first manufacturer to really commit to run flats, and they’ve been putting them on Rolls royces in the big boy sizes for a long time. I’m not surprised they have evolved so surprisingly well as far as ride quality.

I agree and also have 22" pirelli summer run flats and they ride pretty well. Smooth as butter on good pavement but at little noisy on rough but any summer will have these properties.

I also have 21" blizzak run flats for winter. They are better riding as expected.

I am running the 21” AS Crosscontact non run flat (285/45/R21) and they are ultra smooth/quiet. More so than my 22”ers summer Continent’s run flats which is still good. No way around the 21” size is smoother riding over 22”.
