Volvo failed horribly with the XC90 "Excellence"... I believe it was supposed to tackle the RR Sport AB but it didn't come close. Demand was so low that at one point there was $22-25k in discounts off MSRP depending on how you were structuring the deal. A $100k Volvo is just as a peculiar as a $75k Hyundai Equus.

Inflation baby. Thank the federal Reserve and our sell out government
My first range rover in 1998 was 4.6 hse loaded to the max and was 75k ish if i recall. Equivalent range today is $150-200k. And yes in 1998 the range rover must have been the most unreliable car in the world. But since 2008 on i have had very little if issues with 2008/2012/2017 range rovers. I thank jaguars reworked ford 5.0 for this lol

That vehicle was an utter disaster.

That's me. Will buy an X7 for the interior space and seating height, but have no need for a third row.

Another variable... Slightly used GLS63 w/ 3k miles vs. X7.

Inflation has nothing to do with a $100k Volvo. That is them punching above their weight.

I’ve owned a GLS63. It’s bizarre to me. Inferior transmission to GLS550, and not differentiated enough from the 550 either, exterior or interior. Further that amount of power just isn’t that pleasant in that vehicle. Dynamically no better than 550 with active curve, arguably worse. Plus, last gen GLS interior feels like a Yukon compared to X7, it’s that big a leap from one gen to the next. I’d look to pay significantly less for a 63, maybe then
