BimmerCode Updated

I am on iDrive .53 and this updated BimmerCode allows programming of most of the modules except the Instrument Cluster.

Thanks for the info.I just looked at the updated app and it does look like everything that was available to code on my wife’s G30 is also finally able to be coded on the X7 using the app.I already coded ASS off and turned off the seatbelt reminder. It will be great to finally code off the legal disclaimer and code the i drive M Logo at startup. Also looking forward to coding video in motion. It works great in the G30.

Coded today and everything worked. The only additional feature that i really want is closing the tailgate with the key fob.It is still not available on the App.

Just download the App on your iPhone or iPad,pay the fee for the full version and you can code your X7.Everything is explained in the App.It lists the adapters that work with the App.You need to purchase one before you are able to code.

Finally did this yesterday. Not a ton available to code.

Which I could code back in the laserlight functionality, and customize some other things. Would also love to be able to code leaving the muffler wide open like when you first start it up! Perhaps just in sport mode. Would be fun.

I purchased the UniCarScan Bluetooth adapter because Stephan the app developer recommended it.I have coded my wife’s MY18 540i and the X7.It has always worked and there hasn’t been any connection issues.I ordered it from this website in Germany. The website is in German but they take PayPal,so it is easy to order.

Try this https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bimmer...i/id1065360416 to code the exhaust flap.

BimmerCode updated again.
Instrument cluster coding is enabled in this version. I was able to code the Alpina display and it looks beautiful. Much better than the default.

Which adapters are others using?

Are there different features in each or do they simply supply the connection between the iPhone and vehicle?

I see these mentioned...

UniCarScan Bluetooth
Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0
OBDLink MX+ OBD2

They just supply the connection to the vehicle. The X5 BimmerCode thread has more info and posts. You should be able to get info on why people prefer a particular adapter over there.I have only used the UniCarScan and it has always worked.

This is the thread.

Are you guys purchasing the full version of BimmerCode?

Also do you leave the adapter plugged in at all times?
