interesting for sure, it's one way to make sure the design stands out. If that's the look they were going for, they sure did it.
Nice engine upgrades, especially the 40 model

As a current X7 M50i owner, my first impression of the M60i is iffy. The front lines are a little odd. I need to see the dash from more angles to see how they "integrated" the new curved screen. I'll reserve final judgement until I see it in person.

it's so weird that I feel like I almost like it, or hate it? I can't tell lol.
I do think the double headlight is more proportionate to the grill size. however, it looks like the end of the angel eye halos is to come for the next wave of BMW models, and that makes me said. it was a very signature look for these cars, and now beside the kidney grills there really aren't many distinctive design qualities that would make you realize it's a BMW. The new "whatever the hell those are" DRLs just don't say "BMW" imho. even the new F90 LCI's halos don't feel BMW-esque, although I like the rest of the facelift including the slimmer headlight shape.

I’m honestly ok with the M-Sport/M60i looks. Option-wise, no mention of the new Motorway Assistant driving package, which I suppose makes sense since they are probably waiting for the new 7-series reveal to elaborate more on that. I just wonder if early adopters will have the hardware for it since that section says “Plus, existing functions can be improved or expanded by means of Remote Software Upgrades.”
Also looks like it won’t have the new Theater screen style Rear Seat Entertainment that the 7-series is getting. |

I can appreciate the design elements that push it toward full M cars with S engines, such as mirrors, quad exhaust, and grill badging.
Given the lengthy press release and no mention of it, I guess we should assume the second row seats don't move any faster. |

I can honestly deal with the headlights… it's the further removal of physical buttons for commonly used tasks like climate and presets that turn me off the most. No I don't want to dig into numerous touchscreen menus while driving just to turn the temp up 3 degrees or turn off my seat warmers.

I love BMW but I wish they wouldn't try so hard sometimes. The G8X is beautiful, this it might grow on me but we shall see. I'm hoping this isn't a trend

I like the exterior with the blackout trim.
Don't think I will be a fan of the lack of physical climate controls. Really the only major letdown for me, but could be a deal breaker. I really didn't think they would introduce that level of risk into the user experience at scale, but here we are. I suppose I will have to test drive it and see if I can get comfortable. Also I was hoping to see adventurin red join the color pallet |
