On top of having weak power potential , the compressor covers and turbine housings are massive making fitment difficult.

We have been in business with Forced Performance for years . Their products have been extremely beneficial and reliable. Xona Rotor is a spin off with FP and Tial. It just made sense to us to continue using products we know and trust , as well as s great relationship we've built over many years
Interesting - FP has had a sub par standard and all but eliminated them selves from other platforms. The Xona product does seem intriguing though.

Very interested in the results. Nice to see someone trying to push this platform a bit.

FP has had a great reputation as far as I know. Sure we get the occasional phone call from a prospective customer that he read somewhere there was a problem , but that is with any company. The success we have had with them is what led us to choose their juncture with tial.

As for eliminating themselves they support , Subaru , Mitsubishi ( Most years ) , Nissan, BMW, as well as some others I may be forgetting, and they is just the stock location style turbos, not including their T3/T4 footprints.

Not saying they are the be all end all, but we have had great success over the years and it was an easy call to venture on this project with their product.

Any news on the single turbo setup?

We will update the first post with progress as it continues. The next step is to finish the manifold. Following that we will begin the intercooler build. As things move on I will update the thread accordingly.

Would be sweet if a Precision Gen2 7675 or 6870 would fit on this...

We will be doing a bunch of turbo testing to find the one best fit for our goals.

We've always been more geared towards drag racing. We did 10.7 with upgraded twins on a JB4. I would like to see consistent 9 second passes with our flash and proper fueling. We have not done half mile racing yet but I would like to see 175+ in the half mile .

With PI and that much auxiliary fuel why would you choose to run leaded race fuel as oppose to E85? Even with 117oct. race fuel and needing to run ~30% less of it to make the same power as E85, your cylinder temperatures and EGT's will be MUCH higher on it giving you less margin of safety when really pushing it than you're blessed with on E85..

The low pressure pump will be the issue. Supplying ample fueling for the power we intend making will become a challenge we will need to overcome. People have a false hope of E85 and rarely understand it. Although it burns cooler and gives great knock suppression , it is not a be all end all.

Per Cobb Tuning , on direct injected motors , higher ethanol contents tend to do nothing other than strain the fuel system. 50-60% ethanol has shown in their testing to produce similar power numbers than to true e85. Therefore you are simply running your fuel system harder for no reason. Also to add to that, people who use E85 tend to tune their car blindly in a way. What I mean by that , ethanol has great knock suppression , therefore it can hide real detonation from the knock sensor itself and you can be well beyond MBT if you are not paying attention.

Race fuel such as VP import not only gives us an added boost from the oxygenated fuel, it is also some of the best fuel available in high powered applications. On top of that it can be run much leaner which falls directly in line with a direct injected motor and gives us a larger window for the low pressure pump.

Why not run 40/50% MS109 and 60/50% E100? Seems like the best of both worlds? Maximum benefit of the E and nicely complemented with unleaded race fuel? I will be running this mix at events once I have PI on the car.

So two questions
1. How are you able to go faster than the limiter? I thought no one was able to remove the governor yet?
2. Pardon my ignorance but what is the advantage of a single turbo vs a twin? Can't you just make the two twin turbos bigger? I heard the supra community does this too.

The limiter can be and has been removed with proper flash tuning. That has been available for some time now.

A large single should provide more top end power for us, completely shifting the powerband to the right side of the graph , which is where we need it on a 1/4-1/2 mile race. I expect better top end and better mph utilizing the single turbo.
