Why don’t you rotate the tires? And how many miles on the car. If you rotates them if you could squeeze out more miles. Depends on the region where u drive but I wouldn’t replace it until it hits 3 or less unless u drive in snow. I am in the similar situation with same miles and planning to get tires replace around 30k mikes at 3rd oil change. I live in Houston.

Hydroplaning is possible even with new tires and full tread depth if you drive with arrogant impunity. The problem is too many drivers are unwilling to slow down in accordance with weather conditions and follow at a safe distance. The recent expressway pile-up in Louisiana was a result of 10 foot visibility due to heavy fog, and folks more worried about getting to Starbucks than about what might be invisible 12 feet in front of them.

I'm in for my 2nd service (just shy of 19,000 miles) and OE Conti's 22" came back at 6 in front and 3 in rear. Those miles are not all on the Conti's as I swap to a different set for winter (which are going on next week) so probably around 13,000 miles on the Conti's.

I go to America's Tire as they swap for free and will have their "digital gauge" give me a read too. Just curious to see if the dealer and the tire shop are indeed consistently off. I get about 2 pts higher on my cheap gauge in the rear. Same in the front.

My OE Conti on 23x7 was at 4 by 10k miles, per dealer at 10k check up, and about a by 15.

Have pzero on the new 24 x7… wonder how these will hold up.

I also have Alenza RF 21" all seasons on my M50. These tires only lasted about 20k miles. I have 40K miles and dealer is suggesting that I plan to change out for the second time! I am planning to get 22" wheels with Conti DWS 06 staggard vs. replacing these tires.

Update after tire swap is that they are at 4 in the rear so pretty close to dealer. Exact mileage on the 22" summers is 12,500. Now riding with the 21" A/S Conti's until end of April and will have to decide to go with another set of 22" for summer or just leave the 21" on the car. The ride is fine with the 21" I just like the wheels on the 22" so much more

Same dilemma. Im on 21” squared setup. I like the look of the 22” better but my wife couldn’t care less and it’s her car.
I do like how i can rotate and also get a/s on the 21’s.
Mine are run flats and 7 up front and 4 in back. Im going to rotate tomorrow morning and then next year buy all non run flats in fall.
