I just purchased an X7 that was on the lot at our local dealer for $2750 under MSRP (including the $750 financing rebate). I was surprised that they were dealing - we were going to do a build, but the one on the lot was acceptable. Otherwise, the other best offer I got was 1k below MSRP (in SoCal). Most were firm on their "market adjustments".

You definitely did well. Most dealers are firm at 1% off, MSRP, even over sticker. Brokers are at about 2% off at the moment. I was also able to get 4% off or a little over $3k off on a build through an old relationship

I wish I could say I was the negotiator, but it's really my wife that does the talking. . . she's a monster in there. Going by percentage of MSRP it was 3.5% below MSRP. And then there's the CCA rebate on top of that...

About 3% under on my ordered M50. Plus rebates and CCA rebate.

All said and done will be about $6k under.

Considering that most dealers wanted MSRP plus “mandatory” vin etching, coatings, and other bs I am happy.

If this was 2019 this would be a horrible deal but for 2022 I will take it

Hey guys, sorry to see that you had a bad experience with David. FWIW, I've ordered three BMWs from him since 2014 and had a great experience. First two were picked up at the plant and the last one at the dealership in D.C. David is well known among BMW M enthusiasts for many years as a great guy to deal with. I can't explain your experience and don't doubt it but thought it may be worth giving him a chance to explain as he's been a great asset to me in the past and I recommended him to many other folks.

Just wondering when do you guys normally negotiate the price with the dealership? before you place the order or 2 weeks before the delivery day?

I am trying to get the new x7, but the dealership that I have been talking to, the best offer I could get is =MSRP. If I order the car now, do you guys think I can still negotiate the price before the delivery day?

You're much better off trying to secure your deal up front before ordering as it guarantee's the dealer a future sale. There's no point in waiting especially in this current market. There's plenty of buyers willing to pay around MSRP so dealers have no problem with customers backing out of their production orders.

Century BMW in Greenville

Douche bag dealer. Stay away. Charged a higher money factor on Tier 1 credit. Should be .00136 they were at .002 and lied saying .00178.

now the x5 quote (which is $350+ more per month than my prior quote) is more expensive than the x7 quote i got last year.

i should have just pulled the trigger.
I'm in the same boat as you... Price can't be like this for ever thinking and then there was 2 price increases and now a third is coming in march for the Australian market anyway.

So decided to pull the trigger on one that is coming in April 22

If you are in NY or around NY, looking to order a new BMW reach out, my sales man has been amazing with making things right and getting a good deal. Just ordered a G20 with him as well.

And spare me the supply chain crisis. I was looking at the historical sales of the X7, dealers are moving just as many cars today as they did in 2019. When you have 1100 sitting on lots around the entire country there's no supply chain issue. LOL.

Guess I'll be waiting cause no way I'm paying MSRP for this car, when two years ago you could get 10 to 15% off.

Still in the market.

A dealer in Atlanta reached out today (same one I purchased my M2C). Let's see if he's willing to play. Trying not to rejoice in gas prices, but there’s some upside for those harping back to the days you could get the X7 for 10 to 15% off MSRP. Particularly positive news for a nearly 3 ton luxury SUVs that gets 15 miles per gallon and costs $100 to fill up on 91.

Wouldn't count on it. I don't think the extra $40 gas costs per week now matters to people buying $120k vehicles.

Yep. Hasn't mattered. And won't. Seriously - that's the absolute least one can accept to do to support the right global values agenda. Dish out 40$ extra a week. Pain threshold is high. Very high. Hell, I'll drive a Prius before giving in to this a**wipe in Russia.

F12 not showing any data

Tried the F12 hack and although my garage says that my X7 has entered production and a VIN has been assigned, I get the following in the Response tab. Anybody seen this? I am doing something wrong?

You need to keep clicking down the list until the one that says "in production"

Thanks. I just realized I was on the wrong screen...I had clicked on 'Track Status' and THEN drilled into Network, Response, etc and that is why I think I kept getting the 'No matching record'.
This time I stayed on the overview screen and then hit F12 and was able to search for the proper Forward element and found the production date - says 3/23 - Yea!.
I am praying that I get the car in time for my wife's birthday.

Now I need to sort through all these codes to make sure nothing is missing.
