Run Flats- How do you know if it is flat?

While driving I heard some noise from my tire, it sounded as if it was something stuck on it. I pulled over and looked at my tire and found a small glass shaped like a pebble stuck in my tires and I yanked it out. I'm not sure how deep it went in. It was kind of small but after pulling it out, theres a line hole in my tire now but very small. Basically, how do i know if it will leak or not? Will my tire monitor pressure light turn on in my dashboard if anything? And when it turns on does it still give me time to drive on it? Do I go to the dealership for flats? Since run flats arent repairable I cant just dive in any tire shop n get it patched up.

TPMS works very well. if you are leaking and the location is patchable, keep it inflated, get it repaired since RFT's are mighty expensive if you have to use them.

The TPMS is great but a tire pressure gauge will let you know 100%.

Tire pressure info should be on the driver side of the car when you open the door.

The purpose of TPMS is to alert you to an air loss - just the type of situation you are describing if there would be a leak (unlikely)

Runflats can be repaired as long as you absolutely positively know that they were not used with little or no air. The reason that many dealers won't fix runflats is because of that but most tire places will fix them. There is no technical difference between fixing a regular tire and a run flat.

If you are worried you can get the tire checked at a tire place - most do it for free. However, I'd bet you won't be able to find the hole anymore as it was most likely superficial .
