Looks very good now Overall I like the X7 except that humongous grill. It looks like there is a grill war going on between manufacturers

I posted this in the X7 vs. GLS thread but I don't get why so many BMW faithful find the grill to big. It's still smaller than almost every competitor out there. Compare the X7 grill to the new GLE (or GLS), it's definitely smaller and looks proportionate to me.

I don’t think the size of the grille itself is too big, but the giant grille / skiiiiny headlights / giant boring space under the headlights combo is what doesn’t look good to me

I’m surprised that an owner who’s this concerned about the aggressiveness of the car would have gone with the smaller engine. I don’t mean that as an insult, as they’re both incredible cars.

Compared to other BMWs even SUVs (sorry SAVs ) like X1, X3, or X5 or even older ones, this too big ... we BMW faithful don't care about the competition

It seems it is a new design direction we have to get used to

I'm not certain, but the grill pn MIGHT be 51138745730. lmk if you figure it out or verify.

My in laws come over from Germany every 2 months and I'd be interested in them bringing me grill, but the dealers over there seems to just be willing to look up parts by VIN. That's not helpful.

It's not an M3 or 5 series, it's a large 7-passenger SAV. It looks exactly like it should. And the "faithful" best get use to it cause more are coming. The new Alpina B7 looks great.

- Did you have to drop the bumper to do the exhaust?

- Are you going to do the rear chrome strip in black?

- Do you have "before and after" pics to compare the wheels? I'm trying to determine exactly what the wheel spacers give you aesthetically.
Yes, those are original BMW parts on the grill and exhaust tip.
But I am working on something on the exhaust tip.
I'll update you guys later when it is ready.

I don't have to drop the bumper, I work from the bottom. Need to loosed up the muffler hanger for better clearance.

Rear Chrome strip will be blacked out once OEM is available.

I'll put up the before pictures later, need to crop them up first.

Thank you.

It looks good in person. Somehow in the picture looks a bit weird.

Nope. That is BMW OEM.
I can get them for you if you are interested.
Isn't the black grill also available for the g05 if it is available for the G07 from BMW itself (not chrome grill painted).

Also, the coding should be the same for g05 also then, correct since the files are almost the same?

There are multiple grill PN for the X7. You have to be sure that's the one compatible with your specific vehicle.

The absolute last thing I notice about the vehicle on a daily basis is the grille. Which means to me it’s very well executed in the context of the entire vehicle.

I also agree but so easy to change when he gets tired of them 5 min switch, I went back to chrome after it was parked next to someone with the stock grill and my wife said our car looked cheap lol

I am a shop.

I can get them for you, just let me know where you are located at and I'll PM you the price.
I wonder how black mirror caps would look?
