Delay shifting from reverse to drive- LCI

Hi all, my ‘24 40i seems to have a weird delay shifting from reverse to drive. Its almost like a slipped transmission. I will shift and hit the gas and it seems to rev then catch. I have 1,400 miles.

Either you are gassing too quick or there is a problem. The electronics takes a second or two. My wife's MB does same.

Have it looked at.

Does this happen in Sport mode? I wonder if it's related to the auto start stop system activating. I've felt something similar when trying to quickly do a 3 point turn, but I haven't replicated it since.

Its always happening after starting car and backing out of garage. I do wait a bit after initial starting to allow cold start to calm down to normal rpm.
