Last night was the night we'd booked at RHG through Ian. I can recommend the hotel whole heartedly. Great location, quiet at night and 5 mins if that to Trafalgar square. Lovely reception especially in the evening when they put out the candles all over the place. Room lovely overloooking the garden and the river; comfiest bed I've had in a hotel for a long time.
Nothing bad to say about it! Only that it's such a shame it's so quiet (not just in the hotel, but generally). No idea how many people were there last night but we were the only ones having breakfast at 7.30am. We wandered to St James' to a restaurant for dinner - left Whitehall at 6.30 - pavements were quiet, no hustle and bustle. So many restaurants closed and hotels too. It's was eerie. I can't imagine what it was like in lockdown. Seeing it like that really makes you wonder how lots of businesses will survive. Anyway, I digress - big thanks to Ian and a huge recommendation for anyone else for the RHG hotel. |

If you like London but hate the crowds go now. I am not selling our hotels, but will if you want - but museums, sops, tourist sights, without crowds. Good shoes and a decent map (google) means tube not needed, and at least one hotel (Tower) has a free parking offer - so no trains but a congestion charge fee in and out thanks to Sadact... |

I can imagine it's soul destroying for them to be honest.
It's bizarre seeing a hotel so quiet really. The only people we saw were 3 people who had 2 smart range rovers (parked in the residents parking over the road) who had security following them around and sitting on the next table when they came for breakfast etc - and security checking the Range Rovers over before they got in. Interesting! |

You might struggle for the best deals in June as most companies are predicting an upturn in May time, but if you get in now you might be able to get a deal. We have them in Trafalgar Square / Leicester Square / Embankment / Strand, and if you let me know what you want I will see what I can get.
