Nope. When I say normal I mean preconditions rates and occupancy. We would hope to be less cash hungry before then...! An article in one of the papers today about how hard hit hotels in London have been...

The answer to your question is yes, £39.95 a head and they will chuck in a glass of bubbly for you as there is no F&F discount on food.
Thanks Ian - I'll check with wife tonight and come back to you hopefully tomorrow

Yep, indeed he has! I was chatting to my parents earlier and their best friends only stay at the RHG too when they visit London from "up north" - they are too very wealthy and apparently wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Seems like an impression shared by many people! Looking forward to staying there - Ian has been a great help and we hope to confirm the booking on Monday at the latest. The power of F30 Bimmerpost!
And now the booking is confirmed and everything set for next Monday night. Big thanks to Ian and also the very nice lady in reservations who I spoke to with Cc details for the reservation. If only all customer service was as good as I've experienced at RHG!
Definitely looking forward to our first stay there

Thanks, more than happy to arrange what I can, its one of those win win things. Be good to get feedback when you have stayed as its hard for me to get a true feel for the guest experience as they know me!

Last night was the night we'd booked at RHG through Ian. I can recommend the hotel whole heartedly. Great location, quiet at night and 5 mins if that to Trafalgar square. Lovely reception especially in the evening when they put out the candles all over the place. Room lovely overloooking the garden and the river; comfiest bed I've had in a hotel for a long time.

Nothing bad to say about it! Only that it's such a shame it's so quiet (not just in the hotel, but generally). No idea how many people were there last night but we were the only ones having breakfast at 7.30am. We wandered to St James' to a restaurant for dinner - left Whitehall at 6.30 - pavements were quiet, no hustle and bustle. So many restaurants closed and hotels too. It's was eerie. I can't imagine what it was like in lockdown. Seeing it like that really makes you wonder how lots of businesses will survive.

Anyway, I digress - big thanks to Ian and a huge recommendation for anyone else for the RHG hotel.

We normally visit around four times a year as our daughter lives (Streatham) and works there (Waterloo) , she says that the micro economies in the outer areas seem to be just hanging on in there but the center (tourist) areas are like 28 days later , which is really sad.

Hope it recovers along with the rest of the country sooner rather than later , but i have my doubts.

Thank you young man, the team are doing a great job, but it is a bit soul destroying doing your best for the 15% occupancy.

If you like London but hate the crowds go now. I am not selling our hotels, but will if you want - but museums, sops, tourist sights, without crowds. Good shoes and a decent map (google) means tube not needed, and at least one hotel (Tower) has a free parking offer - so no trains but a congestion charge fee in and out thanks to Sadact...

I can imagine it's soul destroying for them to be honest.
It's bizarre seeing a hotel so quiet really. The only people we saw were 3 people who had 2 smart range rovers (parked in the residents parking over the road) who had security following them around and sitting on the next table when they came for breakfast etc - and security checking the Range Rovers over before they got in. Interesting!

You might struggle for the best deals in June as most companies are predicting an upturn in May time, but if you get in now you might be able to get a deal. We have them in Trafalgar Square / Leicester Square / Embankment / Strand, and if you let me know what you want I will see what I can get.

I’m looking for a break with my wife 4th and 5th June.

Also looking for 3 rooms each having 2 adults in for 1 night on the 12th June.

All those locations are quite near a price would be great if you could please.

Will do. Is price, location, or the quality of hotel the prime driver?

I will speak to the GMs tomorrow and see what I can get as F&F

Where there are the 3 rooms that will be price dependant.

Where it’s just the 2 of us a bit of a mixture of everything will try find the right balance, we don’t often get to go away with out the kids, so it’s a rare break.

Thanks I appreciate you looking into it for me.
