2024 X7 40i cold engine start noise

Hi,

Just curious if this cold engine start sound is normal for a brand new x7 40i. it does go away after few minutes but it sounds almost like an old diesel engine to me.

Sounds like normal direct injection tick to me. However, volume is tough to gauge on your video.

Sounds a little loud to me, I do hear the normal injector tick. However as the member before me said it’s tough to gauge volume on a video. If it was me I would go back the dealer and have them cold start one on the lot and compare to ease your mind or indicate that something is not right.

Just my opinion anyways.
