Cheapest way to get flights+hotel to puerto rico or drive down to Key west FL?

Alright so me and my girl are planning to take a trip during December 18th to 23rd.. I have been looking around online and found some deals. Average around 1500(puerto rico) with four star hotels or resorts. what are the alternative ways to get cheap tickets and flights all together?

Second options is to key west. but obviously everything in key west is so expensive. I'm trying to figure out what service do you guys use to purchase flight/hotel tickets.

any recommendations?

I use kayak or vayama for flights and expedia for packages.
