So everything I previously posted about my understanding was correct. there is/was s stop sale (verses a stop drive) and there was an indicator that there was a fix. That fix was applied.

The dealer misunderstood what BMW intended or something got lost in translation as they (BMW) have since decided that the stop sale fix may not be the fix after all. At some point soon BMW will get this figure out and release the cars.
I'm still curious why the dealer urged you to drive the car away without the sale executed, and while there was a stop sale status invoked. The dealer was confused? I think not, despite applying some unknown fix for some unknown problem? They might play dumb, but they're not stupid.

Did you trade or return from lease a vehicle as part of this X7 purchase that the dealer was especially anxious to acquire (as in "there's a customer right now in the next cubicle wanting to buy your car")? This might explain the dealer's motive.

Let us know what fix is being flashed when you pick up the car next week. Don't settle for people shrugging. Talk to the service manager and insist that you be provided a copy of the work order. It will be your car - you have a right to know what service it's received.

I guess sometimes that other 1/10 of the law impacts possession (lol).

We were not able to do the paperwork due to the stop sale. The dealer says that they are having a hard time confirming that they applied the correct programs.

Once that is figured out we'll get the paperwork done. Running dealer plates for now.

I don't have a lot of first impressions, my wife drove it home (it's our tradition). I am super happy with all of our choices.

Can you take a few photos of the new key? Just took delivery of a 22 X7 M50 in May, couldn't wait for the new ones- didn't know they changed key too.

It would take 2 hours to go over every single part of the car. No one has time for that (except for the retired).
Everyone has time lol especially when picking up a new BMW. People act like they don't got time yet spend more time than that in line at various places.
I can assure you most people that have spent 3-5 hours at a dealership do not want to spend another two going over their car. Adults have responsibilities and places to be. It's also way too much info to retain in one session.

Does this mean the AC compressor is running off the hybrid system rather than directly off the engine? It’s my biggest gripe about the first gen system and auto start/stop (I have a ‘21 so can’t turn off auto start/stop) - the AC compressor shuts off at lights when engine does. Granted it will turn the engine back on if the temp is high enough, but I generally hate having the vents blow “sort of cold” humid air at me until it does.

Does the '21 prevent manual shutoff and sport mode shutoff of the auto start/stop?

To add on, the grille opens depending on how hard you push the car/engine temp. Congrats btw!

Who spends that kind of time at the dealership. Most the deals I have done are done over phone deposit in place credit approved car orders I show up car is ready sign a few things. Of course F and I desk tries to sell you more. In and out in an hour. And you ever notice people say they are so busy, unless it's something they really like. Like to golf or fishing then people have all the time in the world lol

I haven't seen anything in the materials about this so I would assume not
