You may still negotiate even after order placed. Deal not finalized until the day you take ownership.
Have your own lease calculator. Dealership system always shows $10-20-200 monthly more than online calculator and the SA/financial guy will tell that they do not understand the logic behind. Just ask to match your calculator... Quote:

Hi All,
I recently put a deposit towards a customized X7 build with an MSRP of $91,095. I have a production number in hand but would like to know if I got a good or bad deal. The sales tax in my part of Southern California is 7.75%. For 15,000 miles/year and 36 months, I will have to pay $1200/month (inclusive of all taxes etc.) and my total downpayment is $3500 (which includes all inception fees, first month's payment etc.). Other than a $1,500 rebate, I do not qualify for any other incentives in my area. I haven't leased a BMW in over a decade so please advise if I could've negotiated better. Thanks. |

Looks like the $500 lease credit for the X7 is now gone as of March 2021. Now just has the $1000 loyalty credit.

Hi All, Wanted to check with everyone on this. When I placed the order, MSRP was 86k and dealer offered me 7500$ off +3500 rebate, But I went on adding additional packages and now my MSRP is $94k, is 7500 a good deal still, or I should ask for an increase in discount?

Please comment if this was a good lease deal for Southern California with 36 months + 15k miles/year:
Inception Fees $1,895 Discount 8.56% MSRP $91,095 Selling Price $83,297.268 Residual 52% Residual Value $47,369.4 Other Fees $219.28 Total Cap Cost $83,516.55 Rebate $1,500 Net Cash Down $405 Total Cash Paid $3,500 Net Cap Cost $81,611.55 Monthly Depreciation $951.17 Monthly Interest $162.51 Monthly Use Fees $86.31 Month Before Tax $1,113.69 Total Monthly $1,200 I did post the same deal before but I thought additional details would help experienced members to comment on the competitiveness of this deal. Anyway, what's done is done - competitive or not. Thanks. |

Which dealer did you end up with? I am also looking to do a special order. Not sure if I can get a 10% discount, all inventories seems to go really fast in the Bay Area

Just put in a custom build on a 2021 X7 40i. MSRP: $86,495 and got 7.55% off including incentives (Discount: $5,700, Rebate: $1,000). Dealer put in the order as a priority build for March and I can see it under MyBMW but it has not hit production yet. He told me that I may get it before the end of month. Does it sound like a good deal or is there any way to get an additional discount? This will be a lease.

I got 8.56% + $1500 in incentives on a $91K MSRP custom build, three weeks ago. People think it was a horrible deal.

Dan Next Level Auto Brokers is showing a few X7s that he has access to @ 8-10% for an M50i and 9-11% for a 40i. I enjoy the hunt myself, but his small fee is certainly cheaper than the time I put into getting something I'm happy with.

I am doing PCD delivery. They just sent me the dates. I am a little worried after hearing about the cracks in Wild Blue 's sunroof. I am planning a 4,000 mile trip back to Los Angeles from PCD via Seattle. |

Awesome, dude! Can't wait to hear all about it. Don't know how my sunroof thing will turn out yet, but it's coming along. And not everybody's sunroof cracks.

Dealerships ready to bargain in NYC area?
Hi all - thanks to everyone who posts here - all the posts I've read through are amazingly helpful.
I plan to shop around for the X7 (40i) build that I want, but for those in the NYC area, do you have any recommendations for dealerships that are ready to bargain? I'm not against going the lease broker route, but I guess I'm just not as familiar with that, and feel more comfortable if I can do it with a local BMW dealership directly. |

Ok, so there ARE incentives right now? I just today stopped by my dealer to take a look at vernasca vs merino trims (no contest at all...Merino is HAS TO BE) and he gave me some crap about BMW not doing the delivery at the factory, and that they apparently stripped away all the incentives for the x7 for the month of March. Also said he would only do a 2-3% discount on a build

I haven't built all too much loyalty with a specific dealer obviously, but when I have a good experience at one for one car, I always look at them first for my next car. When they don't have the exact car I want on the lot, it's a totally different experience even with the same CA. I have only used the same dealer multiple times once, and it wasn't back-to-back. It's really just because one of their owners happens to have the same taste in cars that I have, so there were two occasions where they had something I liked sitting around for a while and he put a few miles on them himself making the deal even sweeter. I would say it's definitely more about the dealer's motivation to sell a specific car than to push as many cars as possible. The only exceptions might be end of month when they're trying to hit the next bonus tier but aren't quite there yet (e.g. if a volume dealer hits 200 cars a month, they might make another $500 for each of those cars that month from BMW, so if they are at 175 with 3 days to go, they might be happy to lose a couple grand on a few cars to get that $100k+ bonus). For the best deal, either go with a broker that will do the leg work for you, or spend countless hours on Autotrader, Cars.com, and dealer websites tracking what's out there and trying to get an idea of how long the cars have been sitting. The best deals will be on cars that have been sitting on their lots for a while, or maybe ones that have 1000 miles or so if you dare to get an executive demo they could still push as new. If you're looking for a new build, dealer recommendations or hitting them at the right time might become more important. I've become very close with owners, GMs, and a couple of CAs at 2 dealers local to me over the years. They all get the game and don't blame me for doing what I do. I'll casually throw some numbers at them on a new build just before I'm ready to make a deal on something I've found, and they're usually receptive, then I go harder at the car I found and end up moving that way.

PCD in Spartanburg is still going on, you just can't do the ED program anymore, so it might have been more confusion than anything there.
