What would you do if you're driving and all of a sudden a person starts speaking to you through the car speakers? Some person from BMW assist just starts talking to you because he/she is bored. You can't turn it off. They just keep talking and talking?

Didn't happen to me. I just thought of it. Our car has so much technology that someone might be able to hack it and start talking to us through the speakers when we're driving.

Or they hack into the telemetrics and make your car accelerate like crazy or, cut off the engine while you're in the left lane passing

I read that happend to a car and driver editor during a test of a chevy car,
the onstar thought the thing wrecked but it was just the slalom test

onstar voice came on mid slalom to check if driver was OK...

Hmm, I wonder if it is an urban legend ? I actually hate (OK hate is a strong word -dislike) all of these systems which give potentially control, power or information to some else without your control.

The best onstar thread i have read about, was i think on the tl forum. I dont know if its true, but supposedly a husband and wife were driving, and they were discussing something, then that turned into an arguement, and they were screaming at each other and all of a sudden the onstar operator just came on and asked the lady if she wanted them to send police incase of a domestic disturbance!!!! Its nutts. i believe it, and it scares the crap out of me

My understanding is, without pushing the SOS button, they can easily listen to what is going on in your car and speak to you. It is a little freaky

Huh?

I would make some slurpee from the slurpee syrup and drink it while I relax on my flying elephant. I'll be in the air so I wouldn't have to worry about the frogs.
