We got the laser lights with the X5 with the expectation that we can unlock the full Euro specs with coding down the road. My G30's adaptive LED's can be unlocked to euro spec with just some coding. To upgrade to laser lights down the road will cost you at least $10,000. I'd wait an extra few months for laser lights if I was purchasing and lighting is important to the buyer (It is for us as we go into the mountains frequently)

Has the Laser Lights on my X5, dont on my X7. Don't notice any difference thb, but likely due to how they are coded here in the USA. I only wanted them on the X5 because they made the headlight style so much different. Given the style looks almost identical on the X7 between both LED/Laser (from what I see in pictures) I am not sure I need it. But I agree with the comment that I think it depends on your location. I live in a city so for me its not a huge deal as they rarely turn on. I can imagine it would be far more beneficial for someone in a more rural location. Likely even more so if they can be coded down the road for full power! For me, not a big deal, but I can see the benefit if you drive in very dark and animal accident prone areas for sure!
