Could someone tell me how long it takes from production to delivery on the east coast? Also, I was told extended merino is adding time.

Notice that the USA online configurator now has an exclamation point (!) next to several options, saying that the option can delay production by up to 10 weeks. Yeesh.

So when I built mine this wasn’t here however, my dealership was speaking with someone at the factory who told them they only paint the two individual colors one week a month.

Some of the higher end interior trim have the same exclamation.

I just found out yesterday my build is now scheduled for production first week of April and I don't have any of those options.

Must be the next coming disclaimer. Ordering individual paints or trims can result in delays up to 10 weeks.

... or being a Californian.

Just ordered mine today with extended merino and got the warning that it could be a 10 week lead time. I noted it on the configurator site and asked my SA about it and he confirmed that was possible it may take that long. My existing lease isn't up until early June, and even if it's not ready then, I can figure it out for a few weeks until my X7 is ready.

Mine still shows production scheduled. Genius line says week 14 which is end of March. They say no delays due to virus yet so things should be on schedule.

Hope no further delays.

Doesn't it come with 3 years of maintenance included?

Well I found out that mine has been delayed by one week. Now due on 24th. Apparently delays are due to storms in the North Sea.

It does have the factory scheduled maintenance yes.
I'm referring to wear and tear (pads, discs, whippers, belts,etc...)

I was thinking my build will be delayed due to this virus.

To my surprise, this morning BMWUSA site shows production started on my car. Most recent date given by SA and BMW Genius was that it was scheduled for production week 14 which is week of March 30th. So it's about 10 days early.

I wonder if they are moving customer ordered cars up to get them out the door in preparation to shutting down the factory. Many other auto mfg have already shut down their factories. MB is running at lower capacity but not completely shut down yet.

Hopefully it'll get here in the next few weeks, so if the shelter in place continues, I can at least shelter in the new car.

2-23-2020 Order placed with Dealer
2-25-2020 Received Production #
2-27-2020 Scheduled for Production
3-19-2020 Production Begins

ECD 4-1-2020

so 3 weeks and 4 days from placing order/deposit to production begins.

My wife's X3 was 3 weeks and 3 days from placing order/deposit to production begins. We received her X3 20 days after production begins so 6 weeks and 2 days.

I will be really happy if the X7 arrives in the next 3 to 4 weeks.

I figured the Chinese virus would be causing significant delays as well.

I called this morning asking about status on my M50i build and we chatted about Europe and South Africa plants closing and the person told me he has not heard any plans to slow down or stop production or shipping in US where X7 is produced. Obviously not a senior person but said they would absolutely tell customers if there were delays due to coronavirus. I have individual paint and interior and he said week of April 6 estimate. It was ordered on March 14.
