My 1M now En Route!!
Been checking with BMWNA & OC daily and my status was "At the Dock waiting for a shipping vessel" since 6/25. However, got an email earlier from my CA today that had the ship name, much to my surprise my 1M has been on the boat since 7/1!!
Thanks to this site and all the resources, I have been able to recreate the journey from Bremerhaven to its current position. The ship, K-Line California Highway just left Southhampton on 7/3 and is entering the North Atlantic and will be in the port of Charleston, SC on 7/15, almost a month ahead of my PCD! So excited had to tell someone!! To recap my experience with timing: 111 Order Accepted at AG - 05/27/11 112 Order scheduled for Production - 06/03/11 150 Production Started - 06/10/11 153 Assembly Started - 06/21/11 155 Production Completed - 06/22/11 182 AG Load No. — Released to Carrier - 06/22/11 193 Arrived at Port of Exit - 06/25/11 195 Shipped from Port of Exit - 07/01/11 196 Shipment Arrival (Charleston, SC) - 07/15/11 (est) Performance Center Delivery - 08/12/11 |

The wait is a killer, but quickly forgotten once you get the car.
Come on August 8th, then Mid October!

Congrats! I think my car is on the same ship - I was told it left on 7/1 and will be applying for US citizenship on or about 7/13.
No PCD for me, so <3 weeks to go... |

I think mine is on the same ship too. Original PCD date of 12 August, had to move to 19 August and production and ship dates line up with yours as well. Am having my CA confirm ship name. Appreciate the legwork. Good luck on 12 August.

Might be the Independence II. It delivered my 1M to the Port of Charleston (SC) on July 5 and then moved down to Brunswick, GA. It then heads down through the the Panama Canal on its way to the West Coast.
I'm picking my car up at United BMW in Roswell, GA on July 22nd Neil |

MDORPHIN,
Did you pick that date for convenience or does it really take that long to prep the car and bring it to ATL after stateside arrival? I figured mine would be ready to pick up later that week, but if your interval is more indicative of reality I may be waiting until more like the 29th or the first week of August. By the way, with all these ATL cars we ought to have a 1M meet up at some point.... we can cordon off traffic on 285 and let everyone admire our cars! I bet Captain Herb would be apoplectic... |

From all the builds in June, looks like July/August will be busy delivery months, can't wait to see everyone's pics! |
