That in itself would lead to a good run with the C7. An easy test would have been to swap passengers. I am sure the M4 would've pulled harder.
Also didn't help it was in 2nd below 35 mph or so people tell me

Yeah, a tad low...unless you brake boost.

agreed, too much bench racing. Seems like all cars got the jump on the M4, and that passenger didnt help the gains with the JB4. Those who drag race on a strip know what a split second slower reaction time does to the outcome at the end of the drag strip (thats how a slower car can get to the finish line first, despite running a slower time than you)

At the link below you will find a large relevant list of performance data including quarter mile times and trap for both the M4 and Stingray (and other competitors). Look for the last post with the big list for the most updated results. All results are from magazines. Such results are generally not comparable to results from a drag strip and or with drag radial tires. Yes traps less affected than times by traction issues.

Also, from what I have heard the Stingray Automatic 1/4 mile performance is significantly better than the MT. However, I don't have any non-drag strip data from magazines. Any tips to get some of those results added to the list?

That being said the Stingray 7MT and M4 M-DCT seem to be right about neck and neck in the quarter mile. The M-DCT and plateau shaped power curve in the M4 make up nicely for it having less power and more weight.

That C7 took a solid jump and stopping the pull of the LT1 and pulling back like it did was impressive with an added passenger.

lol with a big fatty 230+ with my 187 vs. single driver weighing between 135-150

They'll be one vs. another 335i FBO [probably a tad faster] with e85 and meth later in the week. It was about 1.5-3 cars behind the original 335i with full meth and e85. See if it can't make up some of those car lengths [all the 335i's around us run 11.7s-11.9s.]

Only if the initial p:w ratio is 10:1. The M4 is in the 7's.

Lol a boss 302 is rated 440 crank, an m4 is rated 430.

The boss is about 100lbs heavier... this is a tuned M4 making a supposed extra 50 whp lol.

Crank or wheel hp numbers that m4 isnt making remotely that power.

It's an estimate, we can both agree the extra weight has an effect on the car though.

Its a GT with boss 302 intake manifold.

He did jump and put about 1.5 cars on him if that means anything

ITT: people who think a car taking a 1/2 car jump doesn't change the outcome of a race.

A car taking an early hit at these power levels makes a huge difference. Honestly I think we are seeing the 40-50rwhp advertised gain. If that M4 would have been stock that C7 would have kept walking away with ease.

gotcha.

I expect once it is dialed in it should pull on a stingray pretty well. both are cool cars I'd love to have.

lot of factors in that run, low speed, 2nd gear below 30mph, fatties, spinning tires, 8+ other runs...

We'll keep at it

Within the next two weeks I'd say... Maybe weekend if it clears up [future misses is not a fan of the hobbies ]

I will really be shocked if this car isn't in the 11's.

What's up with that dyno readout? Power figures are above mfg for stock
