Thoughts on a possible mod
Hi All,
I've been thinking of getting one of these, re trimming the alacantra portion in matching lemon leather (to my upholstery) and using my existing center cover which is just the normal black plastic finish. Figured I'd ask for peoples opinions, concern I have is it might look out of place in a luxury sedan when compared to a 135. Pic of the wheel can be found here; http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=16 Cheers, S |

I really love that steering wheel, apparently it will be available on the e9#'s soon as an performance option. I read somewhere on this forum that its already available in the Euro nations (Possibly available to us late this year). Re trimming the sides into Lemon leather will look good but will be a bitch to maintain. I love the suede leather look as it reminds me of gallardo's steering wheel.

i reckon it's only nice when paired with a body kit, sports exhaust and recaro style seats.
if it's a standard 335i sedan that you have, then not worth the money. but like vgr02 said - to each his own. most people won't notice from the outside the car. only you would as you're the one driving it everyday. |

DO IT!!! Seriously i think it will look great but i do agree about having a more aggressive bodykit on the car to go with the sports looking steering wheel.

Does that make the M3 CSL's seats ? Or the BMW performance seats in the 135?

So by your reasoning, race cars should also have furry steering wheels? I mean, they have recaros too right? Sorry, just trying to see your logic.

for me personally i would feel that a steering wheel like that would look out place in a "luxury" styled car. if the performance wheel was in LEATHER however, that'd be a very interesting proposition even for me that's why i was going on vgr's to each his own vibe. in the end it's down to individual preference. i mean i put M3 style wheels even though mine's just a lowly 320i. i like em and in the end that just justifies it for me. ok i'm going on too long in this post HAHAHAHA i'll stop now |
