Has anybody done an install with an AV Electronics unit? I would like to hook up a computer to the display and I wanted to know if anyone has had any luck with this product. Still not VGA though?

$600 for parts to watch DVD is quite expensive.. I can pickup portable play for $100. Granted it's not as clean but.. $600... + labor to install..

its not like its an adapter that gives you availability to play 1 dvd. or something. this is multiple inputs, multiple outputs, can be set up to automatically switch to a rear camera when put in reverse, comes with a remote control. i agree itsw somewhat expensive which is why i havent done it yet, but i do think it would be worth it. appearntly screen quality is amazing. and labor is reaaaal simple.

I'd be interested, if it meant I could also mount 2 lcd screens in the headrests and feed them via this thingy so that my kids could watch DVD's.

Is the price for the budget version (as mentioned on their website) or the full version? I would only need the budget version (2 inputs).

i think its 550 for the full version. if they budget version is more than 400, i would PROBABLY just get the full version. ESPECIALLY if you are already thinking about adding more screens. the full version has 3 outputs and a built in video amplifier. and you can have all 4 screens watching 4 different things. so thats fun.

Does anyone actually have this thing? I'd love to hear about people that have experience using it.
