What I was most disappointed was that it sounded kinda quiet on the inside. It sounded nice with the F1-like note, but could certainly be louder. Maybe he left the car in granny mode or something. It was stupid fast though. Very linear and continuous acceleration without any sign of relenting. I will certainly do a proper test drive of the F12 one of these days...
The FF was the same. It was crazy loud on the outside but a bit subdued on the inside in comparison to the 458. The note is waaaaayyyyyyyy better then the 458 however. That V12 is pure sex. And it feels similar to the F12 in how linear and massively unending the power comes on.

Check out what I just posted on my Darkside thread about the new generation of the Ferrari models! INSANE! ALL are getting cool design upgrades and the engine changes in most are just crazy. The M458-T (458 replacement) is jumping to approx. 670HP and bigger intakes on the front (which IMO is a needed design change) and big lateral scoops. I am going to be on THAT list. I just got invited to the Press/VIP days at Geneva next spring where I will get to see these launched

I am not excited by turbo Ferraris, at least not yet. I will need to get good old NA Ferrari out of my system first. I have always had reservations about turbos. While they make crazy torque and power, its driving experience has always been rather muted. That's mostly due to the muffled sound and sound is very important to me when it comes to cars of this league. Maybe Ferrari can produce a winner of a turbo mid engined V8...

I can't imagine Ferrari does not have sound in utmost consideration being that the Ferrari note is their signature. With the flat plane crank configuration I have to imagine that these will not be anything less than brilliant. Will they sound as great as the NA? Doubtful. But they are cognizant that nobody will buy a Ferrari that doesn't sound like a Ferrari.

Trust me, I hear you though. I am in a state of wanting that NA experience too at the moment (at least temporarily) and will likely be getting my GT3 in November. No doubt that I will soon be craving to feel that TTS power again though!

Dang..the more I think about it the more I think I may keep my TTS Cab.-lol

Best is to have the best of both worlds. I see that u already have 2 turbos in your garage now. U can always get your fix for torque in your M6 cab. Tune it or something. The california should probably (along with TTS) make way for either a GT3 or 458. GT3 does not sound like a good fit for you, so maybe a 458 spider? Variety is the spice of life If I were to be in your position, i will prob let go of the TTS cab and get a 650S spider since u already have Ferrari music in your cali.

Yeah, I hear you. Although at this point I actually think that GT3 is better for me than the 458 because of the new 458-T that's coming. I will just l want that car the whole time. I have a 458 spider due to arrive in August but I prob. won't buy it. I just don't feel "right" in that car. Also, for the $ I want the performance and it is not there (in comparison to the competition in the same range). As crazy as the performance in the 650 S is, the McClaren to me just does not have any appeal visually. I had a possible opportunity to grab a 650S that arrived a few weeks ago and I passed. I truly LOVE my TTS. I likely will keep it until the new facelift comes out next year or get a GT3 to play with in Nov.

Too bad u don't like the 650S. If not for the prohibitive car prices here, I would have snapped up a 650S coupe to go along with my Speciale. The fact is after the Speciale, I would have limited budget for next year's car purchase. I am interested in 2 cars for next year. The face lifted BMW M4 with comp package or the BMW i8. The latter is in my opinion, ahead of its time. While it prob can't match true blue internal combustion sports cars, it's nevertheless, a very exciting car to me. The damn thing is sold out way before launch for this year's allocation and next year's allocation will be opening up soon...we truly are at the golden age in automotive pleasure. So much choice, but not enough $$$

Agreed

EXACTLY why I think that after all of this car flipping that I have been doing I am now pretty firmly set on holding on to my TTS and waiting until these amazing new opportunities hit the market and then making a purchase. I love my car and I will just enjoy it for an extended time. I will start my drooling again at Geneva in March. Pretty sure I am staying with Porsche though. Bang for the buck is truly unbeatable.

Looks of the FF are remarkably divisive. I find it to be absolutely gorgeous - seriously. I've also always been a fan of the Z3/4 coupes, and the FF has a similar muscular shooting brake look about it - just bigger.

With the F12, however, the opinion appears to be unanimous - flat out, drop dead gorgeous.

Mike - the choice may be yours, but the decision has been made. Mine some more gold from your backyard and buy an F12.

Hahahaha! I agree on the looks. It REALLY grew on me. They are re-styling in 2015 to give it a little more sleek design. I was at Porsche today discussing my GT3/TTS plans. That is the route I am going-FOR NOW.
