Control Second and Third Row Seats from Driver Seat

Odd question but I haven’t figured it out. Is there a way to control the AC in the second and third row from the driver’s seat? Have the Cold Weather Package and want to be able to control the climate control in the back rows from the driver’s seat. I am sure this is in the iDrive somewhere, but not sure where.

Thanks.

If you activate the 'sync' option in AC, whatever the driver settings are, it will be mirrored in all the other zones I believe. I have 'sync' set to a shortcut on the 1-8 numbers.

I have seen it but I'm not sure if it was a coding option I was experimenting with. I'll check when I get back home. Traveling this week.

You can control the temps for the 2nd and 3rd rows from iDrive, select Car > Settings

Or just press the AC menu button in the center of the dash between the two front seat temp controllers. This is a shortcut button that will take you directly to the climate control menu in iDrive.

What do you mean you have it shortcutted? Every time I go in the menu and select sync, it only lasts for that drive. When I get back in it is no longer synced. Please tell me, as this has really been frustrating to me.

When you are in that menu to sync it, you have the option of holding one of the radio preset buttons 1-8 to set that button as a “shortcut” button for the function. I used number 2 on mine. You can also use this technique to shortcut various options to give you a quick way to activate a setting that otherwise requires multiple steps to do.

Is there a way to add CarPlay to one of those buttons?

Seems kind of stupid that it doesn’t stay on. Shouldn’t that be a permanent setting?
