Tried about 5 times to add it. App wasn't having it all and still isn't!

I've seen it in the metal and whisky it's a competitor for the M135i being a hatch, my point is a 'lesser' brand is IMHO making a much nicer car. Tech and interior is not close to BMW but it's a beautiful beefed up little hatch.

Search RS Mégane. All the launch cars are LiquidYellow and Volcanic Orange. The wheel/fender flares remind me of the M2.

Limited-Slip Differential

People are getting caught up with the looks but the M235i checks a lot of boxes in regards to compact car performance and AWD with an LSD. It's in a dead heat with cars like the Golf R and STI in performance so if you ever have to drive your girlfriend's car at least you could have a good time with it.

Not sure if I understand the need for such a small car getting four doors. Must say they are getting some good power from the 4 cylinder though

No one is questioning the technical side of this vehicle. The design aspect is what in question as well as the bin parts approach to their interiors.

And yes, this powertrain is surprisingly strong and will be lots of fun in a car this size.

But I think some are ignoring the technical aspects. I wonder if they even got past looking at the pictures.

Good point. I guess I am forgetting how each generation keeps getting bigger.

The Kia looks better and has a more cohesive design with BMW hallmark's, like the Hofmeister Kink and Zicker line! It drives like crap though!

All due respect, I cant seem to understand people who are solely focused on performance figures.

How can you buy something you don't like looking at??

This is the ugliest car produced by bmw since the 3 GT.

I'd venture to say it's arguably the ugliest design produced by a premium automotive brand in the last 24 months.

Ehhhhh! That car was considered to be a bloated pig when it debuted; enthusiasts cried foul. It's funny that now it's touted as being small and lightweight.

No way, the e46 is one of the most beautiful designs bmw has ever offered, i loved it the moment I saw it and it was my first brand new bmw so it’ll always be special.

And since you luv and fight to the death over the buck tooth bandit, you have no say in these matters!

Yes way! Go back and look at the comments on E46Fanatics back in 2000/2001-ish. I was one of the early adopters of the E46 330ci and ///M3; I was also one of the first who experienced the rod bearing/blown S54 motor issue(s). I clearly remember what was said back then because I always found myself defending the E46. Just because I welcome change doesn't erode what is fact.

Absolutely true - all the old 2002 and e30 owners cried fowl at the size of the e46. Now it's seen as the last of the small 3 series, but it wasn't at the time.

There was a cartoon doing the rounds on the net back then portraying the e21 as a young, thin Elvis, the e30 as Elvis at his peak, the e36 with Elvis in a 70's onesie, and then ending with an e46 as fat Elvis Just had a quick dig on google to see if I could find it, but it didn't show up in an image search. Still, with the size of "small" cars now, my e92 is even starting to look small!

I'm fine with a 4 cyl--BMW has some heritage there. And then there's the AMG A45 S

But I can't forgive the fact it looks like a Hyundai or Kia

BMW created this ugly POS and is a testament to the fact that BMW is getting cheap and have no clue how to design a proper looking car in this age compared to anyone else. I see a Kia vs a Dodge by looking at this and it makes me VOMIT.
