Aaaaagggghhhh! The wind

The wind caught my driver side front door in the strong wind last week. Couldn't catch it in time. The door is slightly misaligned as a result. Nothing too terrible as it shuts ok but the gaps are now not right around the bottom of the door at the front so I want to get it fixed. The car is just over 1 month old

I’m taking it to the BMW dealer who supplied the car next week. They outsource bodsyshop work to an approved local bodsyshop. I can't imagine how they will fix it?

Anyone else had a similar experience and come out smiling?

Took the car to a local BMW approved independent paint/body shop where they sorted it while I waited - for the price of a round of drinks. The guy slackened off the torx bolts in the hinges, top and bottom, and adjusted the door back into place. To look at, you'd never know it had happened, unless you spent time comparing panel gaps on both front doors with a feeler gauge - and even I am not THAT sad!

Cheers Dizzy - and I did measure with a gauge: vertical gaps are spot on, bottom gap where the damage was is 0.5mm out. I can live with that
