Future X7 Owner.

Hello Everyone,

Nate here from Houston. Just wanted to say hello and will be taking delivery of our X7 in late December. Haven't been back to BMW in 15 years. Had a E53 (2001) X5 for about three years. Excited to get back into a Bimmer! Glad to be here!

Not my fav color on the x7. I've seen it in person and its just a bit too purple for me. Congrats though!

In the sea of grays and whites, having some color is nice. I've seen that color and it looks great as well as changes depending on the light.

Congrats and welcome back.

Definitely not a color for everyone. Wife and I actually preferred DGM, but was surprised (and rather annoyed) that it is not offered on the M50. Had a chance to see Ametrin in person on an X5 and we both thought it would be a great alternative.

And thank you!

Agree! Wife and I thankfully had a chance to see it in person on a X5 and it is a neat color.

And thank you!

I really like that color. My wife wants something similar to the red/eggplant/purpleish color. When my 7 is up we are going for an X7 to replace her X5 and I am going to go in on the new Taycan. I think she will like this one a lot.

Definitely post pics when it comes in!

Welcome back, Nate! You're going to LOVE your M50i. Best car I've owned, hands down.

Sounds like a great plan! Saw a Taycan Turbo last month and WOW! Lol.

Congrats and welcome! You won't be disappointed with the M50i. I also feel you on the unique color. I went TBII.

Thank you! Really like TB II. Saw it on a 8 series the same day we saw Ametrin. Having a blue LX right now, we decided on Ametrin for a change.

Nice! Congrats. M50i is a very enjoyable car; I love its dynamic personality. When the kids are not in the car, my right foot gets very heavy.

Thank you! Excited to get back into a Bimmer. Think it will be the same for me when the kids aren't in the car.

Congrats! We just traded our LX in for a X7 (we went with the 40i...I have other cars with I want to drive fast). I think you'll be very happy overall, the X7 is much more of a dynamic drive, comfortable to sit in and drive, and the tech is miles ahead. The only thing I miss is the perfect fit and finish...owning a LX spoils you and makes you find flaws in the fit and finish of all other mainstream cars.

To each their own, I suppose. My M50i's interior is by far the best overall quality I've experienced in this car class. Minor complaints, if any.

X7 is very nicely finished, but the build quality of the LX is a cut above. Never heard a creak in that car, the paint quality was amazing, everything just felt a tad better put together. Overall I prefer the X7 for the driving feel and the in cabin tech but have to give credit where it is due.

Thank you!

LX fit and finish is indeed top notch. That said, was highly impressed with the interior of both the 40i and M50i that we test drove. Equally great fit and finish too.

What up everybody. I've been all over this forum. Coming from the Grand Cherokee Summit community, just order my X7 40i loaded with executive pkg, extended merino, leather dashboard fine line blackwood, and IAS. OMG I feel like a kid waiting for a new toy. 3 Grand Cherokees in a row, now I need comfort and a status definer.
